I have tried the devil pills a few times now (Twice) for a giggle. On both occasions cracking headaches and end up being sick with a stiffy ??

Doesn't sound like the giggle you were hoping for.

This could be why they're a prescription drug.

Probably best not to take it then. If it's not on prescription, they could be anything.

It's probably all that blood draining to make that big dick of yours grow to it's maximum length. Seriously it could be blood pressure so get an MOT.

Anecdotely avoid alcohol and drink plenty of water and like the other people have said are you sure it's good shit so to speak.

It gives me a massive headache too - this is a very well known and well documented side effect of the drug.

You should always eat before you take it, avoid alcohol, drink plenty of water, and you can also take paracetamol & ibuprofen with it. These are directives from the healthcare industry and it's fine to mix those drugs.

Headaches are very common with viagra and you should take painkillers during an after the effects have worn off.

Having just looked at your profile, I can see why you don't need them! I don't either now!

Does me occasionally too if say I've been staring at a screen or day and a migraine is due. It's just a trigger. Most of the time I'm fine but once in blue moon you get a bad one. To get 2 in a row is unlucky.

Bristol.

What is Viagra? well the active ingredient is sildenafil, each tablet contains either 25mg 50mg or 100mg as the citrate salt.

I have always used them seriously as opposed to 'for a giggle'.

As my erectile dysfunction isn't that serious, more aged based and ocassionaly performance anxiety stuff,i began with 25mg,the side effects, which can include headaches, flushing, indigestion were much less..

Viagra no longer has exclusive rights,so many others are on the market, many country's sell them over the counter in pharmacy's.

hope this maybe useful

I have to agree with you on this. Drugs like these are a prescription drug for a reason. If you had an undiagnosed heart condition, a headache would have been the least of your worries.

They're a prescription drug. One of my partners had to take them for a while to counter some other drugs he's on, and they are a serious thing to take. You need to be healthy and not taking/doing anything that could make you ill at the same time.

I don't really think they're that desirable anyway. Yeah you can get it up all night, but it's much harder to come.

Perhaps, but that isn't everyone's experience, like any drug, they affect different people in different ways.some take longer to come, some get headaches etc.

but for millions of men ,this is a wonder drug and yes I know many who take them successfully and without probs.

Erm Viagra is best taken on an empty stomach, or atleast if you do eat eat non greasy food. But still, an empty stomach works best.

Now cialis is fine on a full stomach.

Perhaps it will take effect quicker, but this thread is about lowering the risk of headache = eat.

Yeah.

Just to point out if you need to take them then don't matter how lovely, sexy, slutty etc the partner is.

Have had to take for about 8 months now as the side effect of another drug leaves me completely unable to perform. I would love to not take them as like an above poster stated can be hard to come and that is nearly as frustrating at times (also some ladies find it disappointing) and also painful during extended sessions.

My partner found it very painful sometimes too. Fortunately he only needed them for a few months before everything got back in balance.

I have no idea why people would gamble with their health by taking random prescription drugs when they don't have any medical problems.

As I said, my partner did and he went to the doctor and was given a prescription (after they had checked his general health, compared the other medications he was taking and recorded his blood pressure).

If you have a genuine medical problem wouldn't it be better to use our wonderful NHS and go to the doctors instead of buying stuff that could be cut with *anything* on the internet?

Unless I missed it, I think mine was the only post that mentioned a headache being the least of your worries if you had an undiagnosed heart condition.

If this is what you mean by being a fab doctor screaming about it being fatal I think I better go to a doctor myself and get my hearing tested as it didn't sound like a scream to me.

At least Viagra has taken all the hysteria away from poppers, all of a sudden nobody seems to take any notice of the little bottle..

It has become so mainstream I noticed them on sale in my local newsagent 'room aromas'.

I suspect it won't be long before you can buy Viagra, over the counter.without the '200' questions.

We are adults who make choices in what drugs we put in our systems.

There is a Ginseng drink by the name of 'SESSO' for sale in Turkey and Cyprus which works extremely well and can last up to 72 hours. It comes as a hot drink - coffee or a small cold drink. I believe it is also sold in Europe but I doubt it has reached the UK as yet.

No headaches, no dehydration and hours of fun.

First post so be gentle.. Viagra is a Vaso-dilator hence the headaches.. Same as GTN spray for angina cardiac pain.. Use with caution guys.

As for dehydration causing the headaches.. Well I think that's more linked to a hangover cure.

Consult you GP

This poster has mentioned this in 2 threads and it is dead wrong. The active ingredient causes the headaches and the generic sildenafil tablets aren't blue anyway.

When Viagra was researched they were looking for a treatment for high blood pressure.

BTW if anyone has a heart attack while using it that's caused by the over exertion of having sex not the pill.

If you need them for medical reasons of any kind and you live in the UK, go to your GP, ask for a private prescription which is free, and discuss how many you might need (on an NHS prescription the limit is 4).

Also note that GTN is contraindicated if the patient has had Viagra in the last 24hrs...can cause profound hypotension (blood pressure could drop to an unsustainable low), so if you are unfortunate enough to suffer any chest pain and call for help, please tell whoever is treating you as GTN is one of the first line treatments for chest pain.

Some GP's do not charge for private prescriptions but most do.

The rules on NHS prescribing changed in 2014:

GPs can now prescribe generic Viagra to any man with erectile dysfunction, after the Department of Health finally scrapped unpopular prescribing restrictions.

The reversal, which a GP leader has said addresses “an historic injustice”, will now see the NHS fund all prescriptions for generic sildenafil, regardless of clinical circumstances.

Previously, the drug was restricted to men with conditions such as multiple sclerosis, diabetes and prostate cancer, due to fears of a cost blowout.

However the expiry of Viagra’s patent in June 2013 led to the drug’s cost to the NHS to plummet by 93%, from £21.27 to £1.45 for a four-tablet pack, prompting the Department of Health to lift the restrictions, which had stood since 1999.

The changes apply only to generic sildenafil and apomorphine hydrochloride – the DH decided against lifting restrictions on branded Viagra and other ED therapies such as tadalafil, alprostadil and avanafil.

Dr Andrew Green, chair of the GPC clinical and prescribing subcommittee, welcomed the move, saying it “partially corrects an historic injustice done to men, and their partners, who were denied an effective treatment for a distressing condition”.

“Erectile dysfunction remains the only condition to my knowledge where the entitlement to NHS care is dependent not on the condition itself but on its aetiology. It remains unjustifiable that men with impotence due to medication side-effects, for example, are denied treatment in contrast to those who have the same problem but due to surgery,” he said.

Surrey GP and clinical adviser to RCGP on prescribing, Dr Martin Duerden said the previous restrictions had ‘denied many patients with genuine need access to an effective intervention’.

He said: ‘Patients getting private prescriptions for these drugs should now be offered the opportunity of changing to generic sildenafil on NHS script, if they wish. However they may still prefer paying for the brand product if they find this works better for them.’

The change to the legislation follows a consultation earlier this year by the DH. It received 87 responses, 81% of which supported the proposal to widen access to generic sildenafil.

By boosting access through the NHS, the changes could also help stem the trade in counterfeit and unlicensed Viagra from unregulated online pharmacies, a DH consultation paper states. However some submissions felt the move could have the opposite effect, leading patients to on-sell their drugs via the black market.

NHS England will now consider whether to issue further guidance about appropriate prescribing.
