Meeting off fab

are we all getting lazy, we were at a club last night talking to a group of people, about 4 or 5 couples and all were on fab but all had given up trying to get meets off fab. Most use it as we do to keep in contact with friends and up and coming events. I think I'm just lazy just find it so long winded to see if we are compatible with people when in the flesh I can know within a few minutes.

The real world is the best way I find to meet people.

Fab is just an aside for me. You can use it for meeting people but it has many other uses as well.

Yes I don't use fab for meets or sex. I meet women in the real world. I just use fab for the forum and chat.

I'm not actively chasing meets, so Fab forums are perfect for me: daft chat and an excuse to take photos, so is a great distraction.

Should conversations develop naturally into more, then that's a benefit, rather than an expectation.

I see that as being relaxed more than lazy.

I use fab for meets. I find it works really well.

I don't do rushed meets, and have a good intuition about people before we meet. Saying that, there are a few I have met that is a social and nothing more - and they have been aware of that upfront too.

I don't meet often, but have had some great connections

I mainly use the forum for the banter but still meet. Mainly my fab friends though as no other bugger replies to males mail.

I have met a few people directly from fab, but not met a "new" person for years now.... Basically can't be arsed. ...

i guess the way you use all social media evolves and as my real life is so busy these days, i prefer to use it to keep in touch with people i have met in a club or to see events etc i might be interested in.

I imagine fab is a totally different beast for you generally, depending on whether you're a man, woman or a couple. For all the obvious and well documented reasons.

As a single guy I decided to take a real back seat when it comes to looking for meets. Fabs a great place for a bit of banter and fun and maybe a meet if you're lucky. I'll just go to a club or something if I want to actually meet someone. It's a lot easier.

I can ponly think pof once couople that we've met off fab in the last couple of years. Everyone else is clubs. socials or people at munches/clubs on the fet scene.

There are people we would love to meet that we've seen on the forums but logistics present an isue, we keep an eye on new profiles but are realy, arguably never proactive in looking for people.

Itls not laziness though it;s about what works best for us.

Yeah I think your right, we've found what works best for us. I do think we were so much more pro-active when we first started we've become a lot more relaxed about things and have made a good circle of friends

While I am keen to meet, mine is a very casual approach. More for my own sanity than anything else!

I'm getting to the point where i have no interest in meeting anyone new either, don't even wanna go to clubs any more coz i've rejected loads of guys who go to them and don't wanna bump into them.

Think i'm gonna wean myself off internet fucking coz i'm not really fancying any of the guys any more. I do search for them too. Dunno, i just don't fancy anyone on the internet, not sure why.

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

Most of our meets are from here and parties....the party hosts are friends we made from on here

We only go to clubs 3-4 times a year so this suits us just fine.

I play around on the forums too and have made friends here and met up with a few forumites too so the site works for us on many levels

We've met quite a few from fab .

It works well for us .

What we do know though , is that it's highly unlikely we will ever meet anyone from fab via the forums

I agree we don't rest on our arses, but we live in sleepy Suffolk so everywhere is quite a distance, be nice if we could utilise this site a bit more

I so agree with the geography point here. Up here there is very little where we can go out and meet like minded souls... and I'm really not into fuck n go meets either, so for me it helps (often with a large helping of frustration that all the lovely folks I'd want to meet are hundreds of miles away)

Im at the point now were ive found two lovely men who I am very comfortable with and atm i don't feel I need to meet other mmen

I will stay on fab tho as ive made some good friends and I like the forums

Who knows what the future may bring xx

Have met a couple of lovely ladies through Fab, and we keep in touch and meet to play when it works for both parties Its great REALLY great

It is very difficult to meet NEW ladies on here these days though, as there are so many messers and timewasters on here who have been spoiling it, and making people suspicious of meeting up. Wish the messers would go back to Facebook. Fab is becoming a victim of its own success. But I'll stay here to chat with my friends, and enjoy the Forums, and if a new meet DOES happen, then that's just lovely...

I rarely use fab for meets. I tend to check events see which of my friends are going, or to keep in touch. For me I usually go to a club as that suits my needs better. That way I can see if there's a connection straight away. I don't feel that is lazy though I just it suits methods of meeting and my lifestyle best.

I have been on here for a good few weeks and not had a meet yet just haven't clicked with anyone

I have met quite a few people in the last year off here though. It still works.
