Bad idea.

People will bullshit just to get a meet.

OP - just meet people. If one meet progresses to a repeat - enjoy it. Even then don't label it. If you BOTH decide you'd like to assume a FB relationship then give it a try, but still under no illusion it will last a week, a month or longer. Set ground rules. Then just see what happens.

Trying to do anything else won't work.

Building up a good understanding and relationship [in the friends with benefits meaning of the word...] depends on a good understanding of each other, recognition of things like availability, trust, mutual exploring ideas [being on same page...] and generally getting along with whatever else happens that isn't the physical bit [conversation and general attitudes towards life, that sort of thing]

...after that it should be fairly straightforward if you get on and share the same approach to it all...

I completely agree. Guys tell you what you want to hear. I find this happens too and it's often down to life. Unable to find the time that you're both free, they find girlfriends, they turn out to want to shag everything they can.... I'm beginning to think it's impossible.

I have several. I do like being with lots of people but i also enjoy seeing some guys more than once. Also, some people on here are married so gonna see the same person every day. So there are those of us out there who enjoy FWB and anything else really.

Only time i don't want repeat meets is if i didn't enjoy the guy sexually as much as other guys i'm fucking or he did something to put me off when we met the first time.

I doubt that!! Do you spend much time getting to know before meets? I do try to build up friendships before the sex but I think it's hard to find someone where you both want the same, I've had guys want fwb but I've not been that bothered and vice versa x

Two of my fwbs are my exes. Not planned it just happened. It helped that we already knew each other inside out and had good chemistry, most of my breakups have been mutual and amicable. It's good to know I have them on my phone if I'm feeling frisky and vice versa. Now I'm not the kind of guy who likes to visit the same spot too many times if you get my gist! Hence why I'm on here. But it serves as a lifeline on those cold winter night when there's nothing decent on the telly and going out is just too much of a hassle lol

too attached is a problem for some, but only if its not mutual, if a guy i was seeing as an fwb found the love of his life id be happy for him, wouldnt be a problem.

I think reasons for wanting fwb plays a big part of whether or not it can work.

I had one friend who I got close with and we fucked a few times (she was my last sexual encounter ... almost 7/8 months ago!!

) but she's now with someone so she ruined it! Haha.

We were both sexually open and easy to talk about our experiences and that's how it got started. It's hard though .. most people want relationships or friendships and don't like a halfway house so it never happens.

I'm a FB with a cpl of people. Funny though cos they not from Fab, only met one great woman from here. Don't seem to have much luck on here. But don't think that that makes it sex everyday. Sometimes it a few weeks and sometimes you get 2 wanting the same day. It's all hit and miss.

I don't want strings or complications. If they want to see me they drop me a text. If not its not a problem. I just don't have time for a full relationship but still love the sex.
