Hi all

Here's a thought. ..

Have you ever twigged that a person or couple swing by picking up on a word or phrase, - perhaps not consciously, they used.

Eg. Do any ladies outside of the scene refer to their husband as 'hubby'

Are there little hints you drop with new acquaintances to test the ground before making a pass?

Please discuss

I always called him my hubby long before I came on here, and many non swingers I know also call their other half hubby

hiding from cock pics.

Hubby is a normal word for hubby! I'm not sure there are many keywords that hint at lifestyles.

Bournemouth

When we hear "We went to a party at the weekend" we can't help but think it's our type of party

Perhaps that's wishful thinking

My Own Little World

I have always used hubby long before I started all this, almost all my friends use hubby.

Maybe if they let slip - looking forward to a meet at the weekend, then it is a possible

The word fab or fabulous. Especially when used on other sites.

When I was flying back from malaga, i sat next to a couple who said 'french men are very submissive '.

'Submissive' isn't a word I hear much outside of the bdsm scene so that made me wonder.

In the vanilla word. I would expect words like sap, lap dog, Weak minded, low spirited, witlesS etc.

I use the words fab, fet and Bob (bondage on Budget) to talk to lady delorean about swinging and kink when we are walking in the vanilla world.

The only word in the kink world I think the swinging community should adopt is 'polyamorous'(flexible with love) as opposed to swingers, that way you can ask someone if they are poly and fab. If they understand then you know to proceed normally.

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

I never say hubby either on here or in the real world.....If I heard someone say fab I would look over and wonder but only because it is not a generally used word other than here

If anyone says Vanilla it makes me think that they are swinger - obviously not someone ordering a vanilla slice in Greggs, although....

"Discussing last nights DP could be a clue"

DP is well known in the non swinging world as is the term spitroast. It's like bj, the big O. It's all become a little bit mainstream, won't be long before half of the swinging keywords end up in the Oxford English dictionary. Lol

Cam's is a good secret phase as in 'going to cam's' although in text it's spelt chams. Which is short for chameleons club, it's sounds like we have a friend called Cameron or Camilla

But that only works for us in the west midlands.

In the northwest we are either going to Adams or the 'House'

Londoners who go to bdsm go to the 'garden' (torture garden).

This. No non-swinger I know had heard of the word vanilla being used to describe them. Whereas practically every swinger I know has heard of it, with perhaps a few exceptions for newbies?

The funny bit was supposed to be not whether they understood the terminology, but that the DP enjoyed the previous evening was being discussed.

In my social circle going to Cam's means having lunch with the twat at number 10

peak district

We have identified other swingers at nudist campsites by asking which naturist clubs they go to. We say we go to Chameleons - if they're swingers they usually say something like "oh, you're swingers too!" If they're vanilla they usually say they haven't heard of it and we say it's a naturist club in the W Midlands. Had a couple of fun meets this way.
