Verifications - important or not ?

For example

How important are they to you when deciding whether to meet someone or not ?

If someone is verified but chooses not to show them would that reduce your interest in them ?

What type information do you think you consciously or subconsciously take from them?

This is our second profile, we took some time out and rather than just hide it we decided to delete altogether. Our last profile was around 2-3 years old and had a handful of veris, some social some more so. We decided if we were starting afresh we wouldn't be contacting old meets to re-verify us as it wasn't important to us.

They have their uses but then so does a well written profile, carefully constructed messages, great photos and gut instinct. I've met newbies as well as folk with more veris than I could ever trawl through, even if I wanted to. Everyone uses the veri system differently and that's fine. I choose to show some and hide others due to poor reaction (from folk I'd never want to meet in the first place!) and a wish for discretion. Those who don't like what they see can move onto the next profile - there are plenty of folk on site and there's someone for everyone.

Just tells me that they are the sex they state on their profile. Most women do not pretend to be men here, so really applies to 'couples' and single women

Other than that, it tells me if they actually meet

I don't pay much attention to the words. That I will decide for myself, if I ever meet them

Very important .

Hidden veris could be webcam which are worthless .

Wouldn't dream of meeting a couple or a single girl who has been on the site for over a month if they had no verifications .

Part of the toolkit and often give us an idea of who people meet that might give an indication that we're their type...cam verification is worthless and if someone has a long list of cam ones, it has, in our experience given a clue to the likelihood of them actually meeting. Other than that, that they have at least turned up to a meet at least once, are what they claim to be, couples single female..

The content isn't that important other than,gives the best blow job ever in which case, I won't bother trying to compete, or people claiming to play safe and a veri states that they've filled them up brimful of man gravy..

Multiple verifications from just one person can be off putting, a little too territorial for my peace of mind...

I go by them, see what they write about their meets to see what they are like as well as what people write about them. You have to allow for people who cannot really say what they want to say and read between the lines, good or bad. I am not keep in publishing everyone I meet, but like to show what people thought of me as a person, not the details of sex and the meet. I think they can saga lot about the personality.

Verifications sometimes put me off. If I wish to meet someone I will follow their verification trail a little. If they have already met the sexiest woman on Fab, or received the best blow job in the world then I avoid...how can I compete with that? Despite knowing what fab is about, when I meet I want to be made to feel like the sexiest woman etc...even if just for that meet.

I wouldn't say they were essential, but they can help to form a picture of someone. Some things in them I take with a pinch of salt as they're often written in a post orgasmic glow when someone is hoping for Round 2, but they can shed a bit of light sometimes if there are common themes/interests mentioned in them. And sometimes I'll look at the verifier to, but more out of curiosity than anything...unless their profile says something I really don't like, such as will only play bareback.

I don't show mine but can see why people feel they are important... Sometimes , reading them, it is unclear who is being verified, the writer or the subject...Some appear to be nothing more than self advertising.

I think there are a few people on the site who are very genuine who don't bother or like verifications, so may seem like they may not be real.

Whatever works for individuals, really

I didn't have any for almost a year, because I signed up for the site then didn't use it.

When I decided to use the site I just used the same profile rather than making a new one.

Sometimes I feel like I'm penalized for honesty there...

Not many here are honest. Most female and 'couples' profiles are fakes

The only way I can be reasonably certain that I am exchanging messages with another woman is if I see verifications from two or three different people who have met her in-person

I hide mine for one i dont always react with some meets the same as others and people actually messaged my verification meets asking for tips to get me to chat with them.

I think it proves we are genuine.

But some people who just do a few social meets or events are not always what we think they are.

That's very true and a point often overlooked by critics of the verification system. Some consistent comments about personality and demeanour rather than just on the sexual gymnastics of the meet can help to give a more useful and rounded account and summary of the person or couple.

Regarding numbers of verifications, I think a fair _iew that report those traits are helpful and these are the ones to display.

I find verifications useful, to see if the person(s) meet socially and have had recent meets. Not arsed about reading them all, or the people who they have met previously.

I tend to avoid those with umpteen webcam veri's, with not meet veri's as that comes across as only interested in cyber sex. I have however met a couple of people socially who have had no verifications, so don't always rule the newbies out.

I use them as mothing more than a guide then gut instinct kicks in and then after nessaging you get more idea.

Ultimately for me though is unless all parties will speak on phone prior to meeting then there is no chance of meeting as no one gets my address so easy.

Pretty important for us, shows thy are real. We too follow the verification trail and a couple of years ago found one 'couple' had two profiles and certified themselves. The fact 'they' used the same photos on both profiles showing a single man on his own rather gave the game away!

I find the majority of them thoroughly entertaining

& they remind me of those peculiar readers letters that used to get published in 80s bongo magazines

So by my own admission there, I guess they're a medium to yet again judge people.

I'm sure they're just to verify people are genuine though, so if I saw a profile that had 10veri's that just said "Met, nice, good laugh & would meet again" I'd find it sufficient

Veris are good to ID the person as legit....although we'd meet the unverified..we were unverified at one point.you need to start somewhere..

I also like to see what that person leaves for others. Crass, crude verifications with too much information put me off.
