Because a verification is sometimes private, but simply having them proves you're a genuine/nice person - nobody gives a negative verification.

Of course you can fake them. You just go to someones profile and click to leave verification! I know someone who came back on the scene and within a day had about 5 verifications up! Seems people they know on here just added them so they could show they are genuine. This is why they are all good and well, but the fact that anyone can just write one makes me not take much notice of them. A meet shouldn't just come down to past verifications anyway!

You can only leave verifications if you have verifications, so you can't 'fake' them if you don't have any.

Because sometimes the one that verified you have become a user not on the site anymore so it disappears automatically the summary but still sais met 1 or cam

No one needs to know who we met.

Also some people prefer not to show because they are hiding something.

Either way its their choice.

For us it's about discretion, we are more than happy to tell individuals who we have met if they ask.

I hid mine as I really don't see that it's anyone else's business who I have met up with. If people cant respect that, I don't want to hear from them anyway.

I've had that too. He even told some of them that I'd told him that I thought they were boring. Luckily, a true friend told me what was happening.

I'm only showing the most recent one because a guy contacted me pretending a veri meet had suggest a 3sum and basically he was phishing about in my veris and forum posts etc so to stop any further slimy weasel like veri sniffing, I hid them.

Besides which, repeat meets don't bother leaving veris.

Some people have left the site, and their veri has gone too.

Still got loads left and they'd take up too much of my page if i showed them all.

They're old veris and 'out of date' lol.

I think two recent ones are enough if i'm honest.

People can make fake profiles and use those to fake other profiles, yes. It does happen.

Or people can write their own total bullshit joke veri's and put it in their profile text. And people think they are real....

Plus, if you set up a profile to verify your current one, you can't because you can only be verified by a verified member. Also, so what if a friend verifies a friend who's returned to fabs. They met on the scene and can verify they're genuine. How is that a fake veri?

Some people need to realise that just because they verified, it doesn't mean they're going to meet you. It just means they've met in the past and likely to meet again and who they met is none of your business. You don't like it, don't approach them. Simples!
