no offense but if a 4 feet 8 inch tall male emailed me i'd probably bin it too seriously though this is supposed to be fun, don't let it get to you, take it as not interested and move on.

Unfortunately lots of couples and females tend to get inundated with messages so if they replied to them all, they'd never leave the pc.

Odd how some people manage it though.

As someone already said, just take it as a no. If they haven't got that much courtesy they probably wouldn't be worth meeting anyway.

I try to reply to the ones that fir in with what I'm looking forin my profile, andon good days sometimes reply to others...but at times just get sick of sending thanks but no thanks messages and just delete everything...lol

if someone has obviously read my profile and put together more than "nice tits" then i do try and reply , though i dont always manage it .

for those who are after totally different things to me, are way out of my age range or are of the "nice tits" brigade then i dont often reply.

That might seem rude but i've had too many who then want a great long conversation about why not, or want to chuck a screen of abuse back at you.

we allways reply, were happy to chat to anyone, we dont lead anyone on, if we not interested in someone we tell them asap but we also acknowledge that some people may be too busy to reply so give it time. A no reply could be there way of saying "there not interested" just be polite about it and move on.

dont beat urself up about it plenty more fun out there for you

maybe thats because there are two of you to share the job ? Or maybe you dont get the same sorts of messages that come the way of the single female.

i try my best, but have been quite shocked by the responses to thanks but no thanks and it makes me more wary of engaging when there is no evidence its anything other than a mass mail or chancing your arm with "wanna fuck"

where people do make the effort, then i will definitely make it back

when i recieve offers in e-mail form from guys that ive no wish to meet in the first place i just delete without replying coz if they cant read my profile they wont be able to read my reply....other e-mails i do reply to .....

This thread seems to come round once a fortnight.

However,we try to reply if the message is from people who match what we've asked for in our profile.

Or people who are just messaging us in general.

We'll sometimes,only sometimes,even reply to people who obviously haven't read our profile but very rarely.

Felt the need to reply here as well.

Why do people put in their status, looking to meet, today, tonight, next hour, or whatever.

You contact them and they don't even acknowlege you! I would say they are just playing at it to be honest, however our latest contact with the above syndrome has had several meetings with others on his profile. So us this is just plain ignorance, still it's his loss, we just move on to ask someone else and cross him off our friends list.

I think you've just got to accept it as part of what goes on. It's going to happen a lot so like a previous comment said, just take it as a no. It took a while for me to suppress the anger as I place a lot of emphasis on manners in my life. They're important to me and I judge other people by them. However, now past that hurdle and like you probably will come to realise too, I can see that patience is the name of the game.

To us its the fact that the guy contacted us in the first place a while ago. I told him then that we would love to meet, but cos of commitments it would have to be in the future.

The future arrives and he reads the contact mail but can't be even bothered to reply. Thats what annoys the hell out of us.

As a single guy I send out one or two messages that don't get a response! lol

I understand that couples and single fems get a ton of messages from the single guy community and answering them all could be...time consuming! lol

It doesn't stop it being annoying though! lol

From a couple/female point of view, I/we get a lot of messages, winks and friends invites from other couples, who either have pics that clearly show that they have nothing that we want, or have no pics but string us along for several messages until admitting to not having what we want. The single guys who can read have mercifully stopped contacting - thank you x but the D'oh couples are a real PAIN. It seems that because they are a COUPLE, the wish list does not apply ....???? can anyone explain why they should have that impression ??

Totally agree Jane - we reply to all properly written messages even if its a 'no thanks' cut n' paste for speed. Mind you, since we put up the really long profile the 'signal to noise' ratio has improved several hundred percent Hope to see you at the party on the 20th (I know you will be late but I'll try and save you a few virile 'members'). The first thing to take to heart in the Swinging Scene, is that not everybody will fancy you and you should be able to deal with rejection.

If you can do this, then anything that is thrown at you will be water off a duck's back.

So some people don't reply to your emails. Big deal!! It obviously means that they're not interested, so why waste time and energy worrying about it. Move on and find somebody who is interested in your profile.

Simple ettiquette requires a response to emails that people get.., but on the other hand, with the amount of emails that any reasonably appealing couple profile or female profile gets on the site, they'll have to employ a secretary to respond to all their emails.

The bottom line for me is that this is not Eton or a Swiss Finishing School, it is a site where people look for strangers to meet for sex. So nobody is obliged to show proper manners.

It'll be nice if everyone did.., but if some people choose not to, it wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

And so according to Forest Gump, "That is all I have to say about that"
