I have sent a couple of mail out but they have not been read. But I see the couple I sent the mail to online a few days later.

I know they may not like my profile and are ignoring me, I am ok with that but........

I would hate to think they received so many emails the system does not allow them to say see more than 50 if they are not paying members, therefore have not seen mine.

Obviously it's rude to send a second (that big warning fab pushes out)

Do people look at their messages and just not open them?

They may not be that fussed about messages from single guys so just don't read it.

Must admit we are guilty of this.

Don't take it personally , move on and forget

Try this again

Do those who are not members have a restriction on how many emails their inbox gets?

Before anyone answers I have been on here for quite a while I don't need a sermon just technical advice

"

Do people look at their messages and just not open them?"

Yep.

Sometimes I judge them for Mrs ddc, so I leave them for her.

If they're to both of us, we wait till we're on the site together.

Even if it's just for me (about one of my posts) I'll often leave it unread till I have time to make a proper reply.

We're much less likely to forget an unread message.

I used to think that, but you'd be surprised, and saddened, that a polite 'no, thanks' is far more likely to get you grief than ignoring someone.

Also we regularly change our filters, and if you ever say 'no thanks' it defeats the filters next time you put them up.

It really does not bother me if I'm ignored, I have been on here long enough to expect that, each to their own etc.

But can you imagine if a non member profile only gets to see say 50 emails a day and mine (because I read the profile) was the perfect meet . But they never saw it!

That's all I'm trying to work it, dod non members have a restriction on how many emails they get?

Jesus christ...they might just be too busy to open your mail?! That ever occur to you?! I can go for a whole week without reading my mail, despite showing as 'online' all the time (because I don't log out).

Impatience is a really attractive trait.

There's no limits.

And yes, people don't read messages immediately, in any hurry or in fact at all.

People often look at profiles first - no interest = no rush to do anything.

Why worry? If they were keen I'm sure you'd know by now.

As far as I know non-members only have a restriction on the number of messages they can send with no restriction on the number they can receive.

So you're the perfect meet simply because you read profiles?

Are you also psychic? Because I've yet to come across anyone who knows our exact thoughts and opinions on anyone else!

Is it heck. Read the FAQ.

Why waste precious time on people you'll never fuck?

The few times I've bothered to say 'no thanks' I wish I hadnt. Endless messages of 'can you tell me why' or 'fuck off you slag'.

So because an opinion differs someone becomes a sermoniser?

I answered your question.

You chose not to respond.

It could be perceived by some that this is both being rude and ignorant.

But not by me as I see no response as being the right of anyone, either in a forum thread or via message.

Some people here must get a huge amount of mail. They may also not be here 24 hours a day, and have also probably had too many times when a 'no thanks' is met by a barrage of abuse, so change how they do things accordingly.

Not replying is not [always] bad manners. ...and I guess some messages can be read without even opening if they are less than 7 or 8 words long...

We are all different as we should know by now.

On the plus side, it's weekend and sunny...have a good weekend all

not rude at all, just quite simply as it says, not interested, I got a leaflet through my door this morning about making my roof look all sparkly and new and sealing it so theres no leaks, they can see it does look a bit old and could probably do with a bit work on it, am I rude by not ringing that company up or writing them a letter to say thanks for your leaflet but im not interested at this time, no im not, suck it up, take it on the chin and lose the sense of entitlement that people owe you a reply.

They probably looked at your profile in stealth mode, saw your decidedly unflattering selfie and opted not to read the message. Exactly what I'd do.

we understand your frustration. But the problem is there are to many single guys. We get so many messages that if we answered every one we would never have time to do any thing else. We don't like ignoring anyone as we know this must upset some people. But that is just how it is.

Just search for single guys in your area and you will see the scale of the problem. That's not taking into account all the guys that message from all over the country!

Am I right in thinking op that you wanted to know if there was a limit on messages received, because if there was and yours was written after the limit had been reach, what happened to it?

I think that is what you are asking.

I think previous posters have answered the question, however it was interpreted.

No they don't. There might be a limit of how many they can send but it is very big limit.

My Own Little World

I quite often don't read my mail, like now for instance. I am happy reading the forums and am not really in the mood for more pointless conversations with the people who's mail I have not yet read.

The conversations which normally go -

Yes I am happy to chat with you but I'm not going to talk dirty with you so you can have a wank. Clean chat only.

Him- yeah thats fine.

5 messages further. So what are you into? Would you get wet if I did xxx?

FFS!

To the OP...I could tell from your post what you were asking even if others decided it was more about you throwing your toys out of your pram because your mails were not answered, to you asking for a profile critique of which you did neither.

To anyone else who posts with an answer, please remember you need to stick with the forum rules while doing so.

You can only see 50 mails, i have 135 unread messages, been talking to my mate on here so also that conversation has filled up my inbox a bit. So yes your message could have dropped off the page.

With couples usually both like to read the message and discuss if they both want to meet you, surprised nobody mentioned that yet. Sometimes they will read your mail then mark it unread until their partner has time to read it.

It might also mean they are not interested but a delete would confirm that, and no they don't need to reply but if they want to they will. Best not to focus on unread messages is the advice i always see given out on here.
