"have you? im asking you, not me." So you are asking a personal question of everybody else, but when asked one of you, you are not prepared to answer? My question was really to highlight how honest an answer you thought people would actually give, given it could well affect their chances of future meets. Seen as you don't want to give up any personal information, I may as well asked for your bank account numbers? Or is your sexual history yours and yours alone.

"if you dont like the thread... dont look at it.. why shouldnt she ask?.....people like you two dont do the site any favours.. " A bit harsh! Forums are a public place of discussion... Yes she may ask, but surely forum users have the right to ask her too? Or do discussions work differently in your area?

"if you dont like the thread... dont look at it.. why shouldnt she ask?.....people like you two dont do the site any favours.. " I have no issue with the thread. What I have an issue with is the OP wants everyone to answer a very personal question that they themselves aren't willing to answer. Do you think that's fair or just an example of double standards? Also, how do I know if I'm going to like a thread or not if I don't look at it? ![]()

"someone else once posted this same thread and nobody would answere it so I knew nobody would be likely too, I just thought it was an interesting question after reading peoples comments on the bareback thread and last weeks article in the sun saying that there was an increase in people getting gonorea among the swinging community though I have no idea how true that is." Because of the internet STIs aren't contained like they used to be, people travel miles for sex now and don't really stay local for it, but rates went down in 2013 from 2012 but are still higher than in 2011. Whenever i see claims made in the news i do google for sources that would back them up, the article should have links (don't read the sun so don't know if it has them or not). If you look at the stats for 2010-2011 there aren't that many people infected with stuff anyway, although the figure is presumed to be higher because some people won't know they've got anything apparently. ::How many STIs are diagnosed? In England alone between 2010 and 2011 there were 426,827 new infections in a 12-month period which included: Chlamydia: 186,196. Most of these were people aged 24 or younger Genital herpes: 31,154 Genital warts: 76,071 Gonorrhoea: 20,965. The highest rates of gonorrhoea are seen in women aged 16-19 and men aged 20-24 HIV: 6,280 Infectious syphilis: 2,915 Source: HPA - based on diagnoses between 2010 and 2011 in sexual health clinics in England More people are being tested too. Attendance at sexual health clinics has also increased since the previous survey, rising from 6.7% to 21% in women, and from 7.7% to 20% in men. Clinic attendance is highest in younger people, those with higher numbers of partners and in women from the most deprived areas. - See more at: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/news/news-articles/1113/26112013-Sexual-health-programmes-making-good-progress-but-STIs-still-an-issue#sthash.0T8xEBm9.dpuf There were 446,253 sexually transmitted infections (STIs) diagnosed in England in 2013, according to new Public Health England (PHE) data out today: close to the number diagnosed in 2012 (448,775 cases). It IS an interesting subject, I don't have an issue with that. Like I said previously I have issue with you asking the question and then refusing to answer it yourself. Ultimately people can write whatever answer they please, it doesn't make it true though. I'll be honest and say I once caught crabs from a girl at Butlins in 1996 but since then I've not contracted anything.

If the OP had answered their own question, which is highly personal, the thread wouldn't have gone off at a tangent. It would have just faded into obscurity. I never get a discharge with mine, just itchy, and i figured all the sex had just gotten to my bits and made them a bit sweaty and then itchy maybe lol, then he got a bit sore, red, and cracked and needed treating and it was advised i got treated too and my itchy went away. Shame you both went without sex, i don't think the symptoms are too bad for women really until it becomes persistent (which it did for me when my diabetes was too high for 3 years, the last year i was itchy before my period for a week and it was unbearable), for guys it does seem to affect them more and be painful though so yeah i agree with your decision, probably not best to pass it on if you can help it.

I agree men do seem to get it worse and i was like you no other signs but the itchy sensation. If you ever have another flare up try using natural yoghurt its so good for relieving the itch better than anything you can buy over the counter and the enzymes in the yoghurt help to neutralise and treat the infection. Thanks, will try that if i ever get it again, but will also go the doctors because i now know it's a symptom of my sugars being too high for too long. Talc seemed to help as well i noticed. Thanks, will try that if i ever get it again, but will also go the doctors because i now know it's a symptom of my sugars being too high for too long. Talc seemed to help as well i noticed. Yeah, because i didn't get a discharge i didn't think it was thrush." And so you should diabetes isnt to be taken lightly ![]()

"someone else once posted this same thread and nobody would answere it so I knew nobody would be likely too, I just thought it was an interesting question after reading peoples comments on the bareback thread and last weeks article in the sun saying that there was an increase in people getting gonorea among the swinging community though I have no idea how true that is. Because of the internet STIs aren't contained like they used to be, people travel miles for sex now and don't really stay local for it, but rates went down in 2013 from 2012 but are still higher than in 2011. Whenever i see claims made in the news i do google for sources that would back them up, the article should have links (don't read the sun so don't know if it has them or not). I also can't find 2014s data. I've passed on thrush to an ex partner once, but not caught anything." Does anyone know what other diseases are being included as the figures above only add up to about 323,000. I'm not trying to be a geek but it does suggest that over 100,000 folk are infected with something else or that the government can't add up..lol

Table 5: Notes & glossary Notes: data type Service data: England data represent STI diagnoses among people accessing services located in England i.e. data may include people who are resident in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland or abroad. Residence data: Local area data (PHER / PHEC) represent STI diagnoses among people accessing services located in England who are also resident in England i.e. data excludes people accessing services located in England who are resident in Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland or abroad Notes: general 1. GUM services data are sourced from GUMCADv2 returns. 2. Chlamydia test & diagnosis data from CC services are sourced from NCSP & NNNG services for 2009 - 2011 & only include those aged 15-24. Chlamydia test & diagnosis data from 2012 onwards are sourced from CTAD & include all ages. Therefore chlamydia data from CC services from 2012 onwards are not comparable to data from previous years. For further data from CC services on chlamydia testing coverage, positivity & diagnostic rates (for those aged 15-24) please follow this link: http://www.chlamydiascreening.nhs.uk/ps/data.asp 3. Chlamydia diagnoses from GUM services that were reported as 'previously diagnosed at another service' (SHHAPT codes C4X, C4OX & C4RX) are excluded from data from 2012 onwards. These diagnoses have been reported via CTAD & are already included in the CC services data. Therefore, GUM services chlamydia data from 2012 onwards are not comparable to data from previous years. 4. Increases in numbers by patient residence may be the result of improved data reporting (primarily affecting 2009-2011). 5. Data reported with an unknown gender &/or unknown sexual risk may be included in the data total. 6. Sexual risk data (MSM & WSW) are sourced from GUM services only, CC services do not include data on sexual risk. 7. MSM includes men who reported being homosexual or bisexual. WSW includes women who reported being homosexual only. 8. MSM & WSW reflect the sexual risk reported at the date of the patient attendance. 9. Increases in numbers by sexual risk may be the result of improved data reporting. 10. Data represent the number of diagnoses reported & not the number of people diagnosed. 11. Data presented follow calendar years (Jan-Dec), not financial years (Apr-Mar). 12. For information about your LA by LA-UT, PHEC & PHER please refer to the PHE Geography guide available from the 'Table Guide' (pdf) : http://www.hpa.org.uk/stiannualdatatables Tada!
