Hi everyone, I am new to the whole club thing and I have decided to start going to clubs by myself.

One thing which worries me is being approached; will couples approach me or o they expect me to approach them first? I'm very sociable and love mingling and chatting but I just think as a single it's hard to make that first "step" into the let's go upstairs. What does everyone think? I don't mind either way, I'd just like to be sure!

Thanks

Making the first move is always hard to find the "perfect moment"

If your sociable and talking to people the things progress pretty naturally, sitting in the corner waiting for people to talk to you isn't going to work.

Just be yourself and do some mingling, you'll have a great time

We tend to chat to everyone.. are quite sociable and enjoy speaking to new people even if it isn't people we would play with x

Do whatever you feel most comfortable with. There's no obligation to do anything more than chat if anyone speaks to you.

If you like the look of someone.......just head over and strike up a conversation. Most people in clubs are friendly enough to say hi to

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I've been to clubs alone and in my personal opinion I believe that single women need to make more of an effort to mingle at clubs because it's been drummed into so many people that we're not to be approached without invitation. If you wait you could be sat alone all night. So get stuck in, make eye contact, smile, and look approachable.

PS this very much a case of do what I say, not what I do. I've been told I look 'aloof' at clubs.

That's great, thanks so much! I am definitely not one to sit in the corner so I think I'll just have to pluck up the courage and be my sociable self! xx
