So if you saw someone else speaking to the person on here you wanted to meet. And felt they were getting a one over you. What techniques Would you use to make sure you didn't miss out?

I'd do nothing and move on, you can't force someone to like you or be with you, it may be annoying but not much you can do about it.

I would just carry on being myself. They will either like you and be interested or they won't.

Alternatively you could hire an hitman to eliminate any competition.
