At a size 18 myself that makes me a BBW! You can't go by dress size. Someone who is 5ft 4 and an 18 will look so much different to someone who is 5ft 9 say.

According to mine I am overweight bordering on obese... but as my gp told me I am too active for the BMI scale to work - many world class athletes end up obese on the scale due to muscle mass and density.

Really? Having been a size 28-30 in the past.. I'm now a 16-18 and in no way class myself as a BBW any more.
