In all seriousness, any man I am considering meeting, I speak to on the phone, and often meet socially first, (unless I bump into them in a club), so they can give me their address in person.

I only give my home address out in public on the net when someone threatens to come round and sort me out.

I even offer to return a postcard if they send me one so that they can be sure it is really my address before they travel.

Never had anyone call round yet mouth n trousers syndrome

Ok my 2p - I think the OP is trying to say about safety of the people concerned. It's been said meet in public first - ok that meens your not meeting a munter & you like the look of them. Chat give insight to personality. All of which helps but in terms of getting back in touch for safety is bollocks

My ex GF is an escort. If she was meeting someone (let's face it more likely to be a nutter than the people on here) if it was to a home she'd get the land line number & name, then check it with directory enq. A car reg on the drive etc. Ok if someone else knows but if you take it to your death bed then what's the point!!!

The main thing is letting someone else know the where you are - contact number of the meet etc something the police could trace.

What about the scenario that you meet someone - even in a club. Catch something & need to let others know that's scarier to me!!

We all rely on trust to one extent or another - just be sensible and tell a friend
