I have heard of this concept for a bit now. I wonder if it is common knowledge, or just one of the crazy corners of the Internet.

So, it's like this. You have a picture of a friend, gf or ex and you and you put it online. You ask if anyone can link you to a pornstar who looks like them...and then I guess you have a wank?

Very strange and probably illegal?

I prefer the more innocent version of this. That's when you see a porn star that reminds you of someone you fancy...and then you have a wank.

Why would anyone want to wank over pictures of someone that looks like their ex?

I think the best thing about the whole deal is the clever pun.

So revenge porn? Which is now an offence punishable with prison sentences in the UK?

As someone who's experienced this I'm pretty offended...

I'm in no way advocating it. I just wondered if others had heard of it.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I've help two friends remove uploaded videos of them on porn sites. I'm glad more stringent rules are now set in place.

I struggle to see how this is the same as revenge porn...its about 'lookalikes'...people have been imagining that was them and someone they know in porn clips for years...

does that mean I'm going to get banged up for the clip I like of a carol vorderman lookalike riding length...

Sorry for your experience but give the lad a break!!

Agreed, revenge porn is awful and I'm sorry you have been on the receiving end of that but definitely did not read this thread as that! Totally different thing xx

I can see the potential for revenge porn. Don't have any explicit pictures of your ex? Simple just find some pictures of someone that looks like them.

As I said before I fail to see any obvious reason why anyone would want ro view porn of someone that looks like an ex. So to my (admittedly cynical and suspicious) mind a more sinister reason is plausible.

And the act of posting a picture of someone without their consent and asking strrangers to search for porn pictures of people that look like them is clearly non-consensual, it may not break revenge porn laws but it's a very similar intent
