It really winds me up when some people treat this site as Facebook with their statuses they put up.

Example:: I'm only here to chat today and not play because I've got a tummy ache

Come on. Who cares! Has anyone else come ocross pointless statuses or is it just me?

Well surely that kind of status is what you want? Especially with the amount of messages women get it makes sense to put up a status saying not playing today

Yes we do need status but I dont need to know whos got a tummy ache, broke a nail, or woke up on the wrong side of the bed

Why read the statuses then? It's not as though it's compulsory.

Let people use the how they wish to, albeit with the rules.

I don't get why people get wound up over other people's status, leave them to use the site however they want.

This ^ if you don't like people's status block them/remove them as a friend! How people use the site and what they write is up to them

Its the updates about the soaps or whats in the news that are pointless. Illness or unavailability i suppose are legitimate as it stops unwanted messages

What may seem pointless to you may not seem pointless to that person or their friends on here! No it isn't Facebook however a lot of people do use it to chat to friends they have made through here etc so does it really matter what people write?

It means he/she cannot meet today.

It's only a status at the end if the day. Their profile, they can do as they wish.

I just hate cringe-worthy statuses. Doesn't necessarily bother me but just makes me cringe and my skin crawl!

...and statuses highlighting obvious drama with meets and the women they're friends with.

As everyone else has said, if you don't like them, don't read them?

People can put whatever they like in their status. There's no rules about what's "allowed".

I like this as it gives a good insight into that person and what their personality is like. And can convince me to meet or not meet them.

Plus I post utter crap on mine. It's fun. Lighten up.
