Cleanliness and Hygiene - and how to exit !

We have travelled a reasonable distance for a couple of meets only to be distinctly unimpressed with the general hygiene on display (e.g. a quick trip to the bathroom to find the toilet and sink none too clean).

The person/s themselves appeared okay but we always think "if they can't keep their bathroom clean what must their personal hygiene be like?"

It's an awkward one - particularly how to make the excuse and leave.

Has anyone else experienced this - and what do you do?

(by the way we don't do a full examination ! Just the place don't smell too great and the toilet a giveaway!)

You'd be most welcome to come and inspect mine.

wakefield

I once arrived at a guys flat. He told me as often happens to go straight to his bedroom and change into my girly clothes then meet him in his living room. That way he did not see me in male mode. As soon as I smelt his place, seen his messy bedroom and then his toilet I just did a u turn and left. Told him I got cold feet.

I'm no snob, my house is lived in and I have pets but....

I have been in this situation and I basically chatted to him and explained that I didn't feel any attraction in person and wouldn't be taking it forward to a play meet, had a cuppa and left.

Not the easiest situation but I wouldn't want to do something I was uncomfortable with and would regret

yes agree - an awkward situation - we have pussy cats too so know what you mean about pets - suppose I/m quite lucky because the hubby is a hygiene freak and, even when house is fine, his marigolds come out for a virtual full spring clean prior to any meet at ours - you could be put off by the smell of bleach !

have a leaving strategy in place!

While I was in the bathroom, I'd ring my partner and say 'it's an emergency, you gotta come home quick...'

My partner would play along with the call, panicking in an Oscar winning performance.

I would appear calmly from the toilet only to be met by my partner, who would be now frantic'

acting wouldn't be required for the next bit, as you would leave ASAP and make a swift getaway, with a wheel spin as you pulled away!

When I was swinging with my ex we were invited to a small house party. We arrived to find the carpet manky, the mice wearing boiler suits and you wiped your feet on the way out. . .We Exited within minutes.

So far I have never had to experience this. A clean, hygienic, mess free environment, is an essential ingredient to get dirty in

We've been lucky so far. Gotta have a nice clean shower available before I'll consider getting down and dirty

some people may not bother about cleaning their homes but they still keep themselves clean.
