Clearly if you prefer to be free, then it's not best for you.

For others it may be best.

Owned is still roleplay. Nothing to worry about.

"Owned is still roleplay. Nothing to worry about."

It isn't roleplay for everyone.

Depends on the definition. But true ownership would be slavery. Hence illegal.

So maybe it's semantics. But someone who is owned can be unowned by their own choice.

Actually in roleplay, it is the master or owner who is usually the one who releases ownership...such are these things

Masters and doms is one thing. Being owned is very different and usually manifests in a fem realising it's a cover story someone's using to stop her meeting others, meeting anyone else

I don't know an awful lot about being owned but I did watch a tv programme about such a relationship and she even had to ask him to ask the waitress for salt for her in a restaurant . She said she was happy and I have no idea of the psychology behind it but I would run so fast from that idea that my stilettos wouldn't touch the ground.

My theory is horses for courses. Whatever make you happy feel free to do. There is no right or wrong answer its personal choice

Ownership and collaring in a D/s relationship takes many forms and is very specific to each couple.

I'm a BDSM submissive. It makes sense to me. It's not roleplay for me, nor is it slavery. I have never been discouraged by any dominant (male or female) I've met on the scene to not have a strong mind of my own.

I don't judge styles of relationships. It's about happiness between the couples and what suits them.

May use the terms collaring and ownership in the swinging world and use them lightly as role play. Maybe it's confusing and misleading as it's such a serious and responsible act in the BDSM world and very much a lifestyle choice rather than roleplay.

As long as both parties have clarity, it's consensual and creates happiness.

To OP, set your own boundaries and ask others to respect them. Explore if you're unsure.

With one of my partners I had a Dom/sub relationship where we agreed I would be her "owner". As much as anything it was a word that she liked, and a dynamic that worked for 3-4 years. I gave her a set of (fairly flexible) rules to live by. We weren't as strict as her having to ask my permission to request salt from a waitress. However she did (and still does) wear a metal collar 24/7 - albeit something covered in black plastic that could pass in "vanilla" life situations for a decoration.

But like all things that evolved, in our case into something less strict and far more cozy/friendly.

In fact I find myself looking for the opposite side...a Domme/sub relationship where I owned to some extent....at least while with her.

I take the _iew that every relationship is different, and what works for one set of people might well not work for another. If nobody is being abused or emotionally hurt then it's OK by me. As long as the sub in such a relationship has a way out when they feel the need, and is aware of this, then there's no need for it to be harmful.

Just because you don't understand (and you clearly don't ) doesn't make it bullshit or crap.
