When conversations die

Sometimes you start chatting to someone and the converstaion seems to be going well and then suddenly the other side of the conversation suddenly dries up. I know it's something I must have done or said or not said but it'll always be a question on my mind as to what I could have done differently.

Again me just airing my thoughts comment if you wish but as always I won't expect any.

Some people do go over what they could have said or done differently in any situation I've seen people post about it before.

Could be that they are fabbing on the quiet and their partner just walked into the room. Or even their child.

Happened loads of times to me where one of my kids walks into the room and I have to change screens.

I know what you mean but this was more of a situation where they responded to a message with sorry this isn't working lol. Ah well. Onwards and upwards as hey say. Plus she was a 10 and and more of a 5 lol

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

Sometimes I get distracted by other messages and forget to reply or get bored and I am sure that happens with others too.

It know that I can be talking to people and they back off but I just move on to someone else and don't worry about it

Yes as you have said she actually responded telling you it wasn't working, if what I read on here is representative that's rare, maybe think that at least you're not left not knowing.

If you struggle to make conversation, dont make conversation.

If it is one way it says it all.

Sometimes conversations just get boring. It's easier to just stop chatting than say 'This is boring'. I'm not saying this is the case for you, just something that happens often for me.

If a conversation becomes hard work on here then it's time to stop.

Tbh she wasn't horrible about it at all and it was nice chatting to her whilst we did so I don't want people thinking I'm bitter or trying to run them down because they're still an awesome person regardless of if they want to chat to me

Ah fairy snuff.

Got to take issue with you putting yourself down though.

I doubt she was a diva strutting her stuff full of confidence & thinking she was way out of your league. She was initially chatting to you so she clearly liked what she'd seen so far.

Rather than it just being 'something you said' it may have just been that she wasn't feeling a connection between you. Chin up and move on. She was probably a hairy biker called Malcolm anyway

Sometimes people get bored, find someone newer and more interesting or just not interested anymore.

Forget it and move on

Lol. Now for those of you needing to know how to spot a Diva; just have a look through my friend Mikki's profile. This loony tune takes it to a pouting new level

It's natural for a conversation to stall, we as humans tend have conversations in 20 min batches give or take. Then after a brief lul giving time for the brain to digest what has been said. We start talking again. Have a go time your self next time your chatting.

Means nothing....

People have a million things going on in their lives, don't assume, that you, a complete stranger on the Internet, is the most important.

Happens all the time, not just on fab...

The good ones you can pick up where you left it, a time later, others have brushed egos and find all kinds of made up excuses as to why you wouldn't want to talk to them.

when you get to the point where you're struggling for something to say, is time to give up .
