I've only had sex with one guy this year, and didn't meet him from here.

I've got BV again. Is my body telling me to get rid of him cos he is upsetting my natural flora?

May not be him. I had it a couple of times and I hadn't had penetration with a cock. It was soaking in Radox baths that caused mine. I think my cherry lube doesn't help either

Boots do a good box of gels for this, use every night for 4 nights (I think), does the job & then start using a soap free shower gel on your bits

Speak to your pharmacist! Canesten is the brand I think!

I would go to your GP if I were you...they will give you an initial antibiotic treatment....the gel pessaries available over the counter are "'maintenance" treatment really as it's mainly glucose in order to encourage the right bacteria to grow. I've heard other people with persistent BV saying that cider vinegar douches or inserting a strong vitamin C tablet has helped them. I have to admit,I've only had the problem once and since I was given the antibiotics by my GP it hasn't reoccurred!! Good luck in getting it sorted as it's a right pest!!!

Not thrush. It's commonly mistaken for thrush however. It's a bacterial upset as such inside. As other posters have said switch to non perfumed products, avoid anything with Sodium Laurel Sulphate in and get to doctor for official diagnosis.

Since switching to skyns I've not had any irritations.

Perfumed bubble baths, or anything that is perfumed in fact, can upset the PH balance in that area - so avoid these and just wash with plain water if you're prone to BV or thrush

BV isn't an STI, but an 'upset' in the balance of bacteria inside the vagina. You can be given antibotics for the doctor (can't recal what they are off hand ). If you get it repeatedly, look at your hygenie routine: are you using bubble bath or perfume soaps? Make sure you wipe front to back and use knickers that are made up of natural fibres and wash them in a non-bio power.

You need to up your friendly bacteria intake by taking a daily supplement of Lactobacillus Acidophilus which you can by in Holland & Barrett or on Amazon.

Also the BalanceActiv gel from Boots is brilliant at getting rid of and keeping it at bay.

"Visit gp for a course of metronidazole"

That's a short term fix as it strips your body of all bacteria including the good ones that you need, so it will return.

I'm allergic to anaerobic antibiotics.

It's doubtful it's my hygiene routine cos I have got it before after being with him and we don't see each other every week. A horrid thing to think, but perhaps it's his hand hygiene.

No,thrush is thrush. BV is an imbalance of the natural occurring bacteria in a vagina

Thrush can be white. Vaginal ejaculate (I don't mean "squirt"), can be white (just like spunk ).
