Does naturism & Swinging work alongside each other?

Reason for asking is that we attended recently a clothing optional/naturist event at a local club which is strictly a vanilla venue. Whilst there we spoke to several people who go throughout the Uk to various naturist spa clubs. The majority were small venues we'd never heard of but they did mention Rios & Bristol gardens, which we know as places frequented by swingers. Now without blowing our cover we enquired about swinging at these venues & they said it goes on in certain rooms.

Now obviously not all swingers are naturists & vice versa, but it seems in certain clubs the two sides come together, I'm presuming the clubs were naturist & swinging crept in, am I correct & do the naturists accept this? however our favourite club Kestrels while advertised as a naturist spa appears to have a more swinging than vanilla clientele. On the beach it's supposed to be kept seperate so is it different in the clubs? We would love to go to more clubs but after our chat with narurists who appeared to be vanilla we're a tad confused.

Sorry I can't answer the quesrion you asked as we have never tried naturism but it is something we want to do. We are thinking about a couple of days at msybe a naturist spa, one with rooms where you can stay on site so would be glad of any recommendations

We ve been Naturists a long time b4 being swingers but enjoy both lifestyles a lot and would certainly say they often overlap at certain venues !

Generally we would say this interaction between the two lifestyles occurs more openly & frequently at certain adult clubs

but on nude beaches is mainly kept in check or at least enjoyed a lot more discretely because its a family environment where any overt sexual behaviour should not be on public display !

So in short we would say swinging and naturisium can work alongside each other at the right venue in the right company provided common sense is applied like we regularly get to enjoy at Eureka !

This old chest nut keeps appearing in naturist circles and pure naturist are often aghast at the thought of swinging in their clubs.

We've been naturists for many years and been to many clubs and venues throughout the UK, Europe and U.S. where the two go hand in hand and some where they don't.

However, as stated earlier, it really depends on the venue. There is a very good naturist club in the south of England and the naturists there are great, but any swinging activity that is not absolutely hidden will get you immediately banned.

On the other side of the coin there are clubs where rules are quite relaxed and play is going on and so overt that it would be difficult to miss it.

On a lot of beaches, or should I say, the dune areas, there is swinging and play when guys in the sun and warmth are tempted and throw caution to the wind.

The answer to your question is yes, very often naturism and swinging do go side by side but not always so do the homework first. If you get the venue wrong, there will be aggro, get it right and a good time can be had

Ok so am I right that the majority of clubs were purely naturist & then swinging came in, these clubs are presumably where there can be conflicts of interest, as opposed to the more upfront swinging clubs that naturists attend & are not offended by our activities?

As a rule thumb, yes you are correct. Naturist clubs that have been established for a long time are really for naturism and not for swinging. There are some clubs that are for swinging and naturism is part of that

Yes complicated I know.

Thanks for all your advice, we particularly enjoyed the wink & nice profile btw!! We just like to be naked at every opportunity whether it be in a naturist or Swinging environment, however what we don't want to do is offend anybody, which means striking a happy balance which isn't always easy.

It can be very difficult from the outside to know how things work. Once in a venue, we find it much easier to gauge what goes on.

In one club, we went with no expectations but found we were being chatted up, but not overtly. It was obvious that the couple wanted to play at some point, but they only mentioned it in passing. At other naturist places, we have been looked at a bit old fashioned for just giving a risque punchline to what someone was saying!

Cap d'Agde is a totally different animal. The purists of the naturist world go there, but appear to tolerate the masses of swinger on holiday there at any given time. That is the place to go for a real eye opener.

Best thing is to go anywhere with no expectation, but be aware that some may drop hints or even openly suggest a liaison. Just enjoy it if it happens and have fun

It's not difficult really now is it. Naturism in no way shape or form should be linked to swinging, this is your starting point. All clubs to a greater or lesser extent specify what they are about. If a naturist club clearly states it's a family club then the above statement aapplie, and you should act accordingly. In swinging clubs a large proportion of people will be naked this does not necessarily mean they are Naturists. You need to research the club your interested in and act accordingly. Does this mean there is never any swinging at 100% nilla naturist clubs?? Of course not just as there is naturism at swinging clubs. Horses, courses. Common sense as always applies. Your hypothesis that swinging has infiltrated naturist clubs is incorrect. Naturist Beaches are a different subject as they are public places and most are not officially recognised and are merely tolerated by councils and local autauthorities. Sexual activity on certain beaches has in the past lead to the authorities prohibiting naturism on these beaches and patrolling and prosecuting people. Again do your research and apply common sense.
