Too many!

Fave classic - Dickens Bleak house or Wilde's Picture of Dorien Gray.

Non-classics - Elton's Two Brothers is really good - like his satirical works too. Also like Terry Pratchett and loved Larsonn's Dragon Tattoo trilogy. Occasionally go for chick lit too - particularly Sophie Kinsella and Cecelia Ahern.

"Thus Spake Zarathustra by Nietzsche, Time Regained by Proust, Ulysses by Joyce and The Twits by Dahl "

Ulysses is such a laugh, isn't it? I really do think that the BBC should use it as the basis for a sitcom or a Cbeebies serial.

Herts

I'm a sucker for the Harry Potter series.

Other than that, the only book that comes to mind is "Killing Me Softly" by Nikki French, that left me in emotional turmoil during and after, yet I can't stand most of her other books...

Currently trying to read "The Blue Tattoo" (about Olive Oatman), but that's proving difficult with a 6month old.

Me too. When he died I re-read everything he's written as my own tribute to a favourite author. I did the whole lot in order of publication, Iain M then Iain. I have a signed hardback of Excession that I treasure.
