You can and are expected to report them for being a no show.

I feel your pain I have had the same sort of thing on a few occasions!!

I agree to reporting them for sure but like others i doubt this has any impact on a cpl when a single guy complains!! we are like second class citizens in swinging!

I'm self employed and left half a day free from work to meet a couple i'd chatted to for 3 weeks, then on the day of meet, they blocked me ! Learn from our mistakes is the lesson to be learned ! .... timewasters are definitely not just male !

Maybe im just been devils advocate but this cpl could of had a row , unexpected childcare issues or as usual with cpls one wants it more than the other and wouldnt do as hubby says

It was rude of them not to cancel or give notice before you arrived or started out on your journey, however, shit does happen in people's lives! Just block, learn from the experience and move on.

Reporting them to admin is a joke nothing is done. I reported a woman for trying to sell sex guess what shes still here. But if you name and shame you get warning think the site is just after the money and an easy time

Hell wouldnt drive an hour to meet anyone some people are too trusting of others and what did you actually do to prevent it happening, did you phone or mail them before setting off, if they didnt respond id never have gone to meet them sometimes i do think people become blikered and reckless at the prospect of having a meet

So they'd asked another guy too but didn't check with you if you were ok with that until you'd actually arrived.

Ok, so you didn't have a problem with it, but what if the other guy did?

What if he had already arrived?

Could be why the 'brother' excuse then materialised.

Truth is you're never going to know exactly what was going on with them, but unfortnately have found out that this particular couple are unreliable and likely to mess people about.

Report and block as you have done.

I only meet locally, around 20 mins of my place and always meet socially first, usually in my break at work for a quick coffee. I've learnt over the years of being on and off here not to go out of your way or change any plans for a meet as there is a chance you'll be let down. My approach works well for me but sorry to hear you were let down OP.

It's sad when this happens. I've heard it happen to a couple of friends recently too. Not men or couples but women seem to do this as well.

Always go for a social first but maybe just don't travel that far! Shame it's happened but block and move on.

I think the point they were trying to make is, what if the brother had turned up like 5 mins before the op had arrived, full of intention to meet but something got in the way and no time to message, im not saying thats what happened but it is a possibility.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

Admin

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******
