The music,

Theamount of gigs I used to go to.

Mad adventures with freinds,

Spandex (mmm maybe not!)

Going out without my specs & never being 100% sure if it was a guy or a girl I was eyeing up (all looked the same from a few feet away back then lol).

So much eyeshadow & eyeliner you couldn't see properly.

Oooh & pink panthers ( half lager and half cider with black current.. yum)

Did I mention the music??

But most of all my energy, think I left it in the 80's.

Dx

Paperboy and IK+

Having the naivety and bravery in equal measure to suspend myself from a creaking branch 60 foot up a tree for the reward of a bunch of mouldy old conkers.

That advert for McCain chips where whenever the mother asked her two delightful kids a question, they'd respond with "FEED ME!" It drove my mum and dad apeshit whenever it came on, so in the end they'd silence the telly. In retrospect this was probably the main reason I enjoyed it.

Being sat in science class, whenever the teacher used the word "acid" seeing how many of us could get away with chirping "Aceeeeed!..." like in that repetitive acid house track, before someone got caught.

Cans of hubba bubba soft drink that like every other brand came complete with a ring pull that you could probably use to commit suicide.

Incidently, why was there always ripped up bongo mags in bushes?

Most 12 year old lads I knew developed a 6th sense for it, like it was part of nature. It would be a case of; "Now lads, see this large shrub? Its by a bend in a public footpath with one side all bashed in like an escaped prisoner has laid low in it? My keen gardener's mind tells me there could be some grumble s in here..."

But who put them there? Why would it occur to someone to rip an art pamphlet to shreds, take a stroll to a suspicious looking bush and scatter the pieces liberally about all over the shop? And it happened in thousands of similar locations the length and breadth of Britain...

Its a mystery right up there with the crop circles, Im telling you.

Ah, good old hedgerow porn. I believe local authorities used to have people whose job it was to ensure regular supplies - under the recycling department, I suppose - but I guess in these times of council cutbacks that's one more much-loved local service they just can't afford to provide anymore.

Porn was in the hollow of trees where I come from! That was our only sex education - other than the life-cycle of frogs - Very useful! Amazed more 14yr olds didn't get pregnant tbh!!
