MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

Do you go through spells on here when your confidence is just on fire, and you send messages to people you would normally be way to nervous to, and just find the issue is getting all the meets in the diary, and then other times when its a drought and messages get deleted and no replies?

Or is it way more even and its just a few nice things happening make it seem like its amazing?

I find mine a struggle as it has times were you chat a lot but no meets then times where you chat to one maybe two people but get a meet x

You're right, there's such a buzz when something clicks so well. Sometimes you can feel like you're just going through the motions some days. Others, if feels joyous, warm, and fuzzy

Mine has totally gone.

I don't send out messages no more unless someone messages me first.

It just doesn't happen much for me on here. But, i still like using the site to chat and keep in touch with old and new friends.

Same here really. Not pursued a meet for ages and vice versa. Think fab has turned more of a 'chat' place for now.

Yeah, I get nervous of sending first messages. Had a real run of messages getting deleted and rejections, so it dunted my confidence. Its not only single guys that have a hard time on here...

Yes think we all go through peaks and troughs.

As the OP says think it depends on confidence sometimes we send loads of messages out and get no replies other times we send out none and yet are inundated with offers.

I usually make a joke about being crap at first messages, but make it clear I have read the profile, and find something to blether about...

Yes cheating husband - I struggle on here at times - I am fussy who I meet, and sometimes couples and singles can be put off as I'm rather blunt at times just like my profile suggests I would be. I never send fancy a fuck messages, so when a profile I have spent a while reading and sending a message to deletes without reply, it can knock confidence.

Its not all in favour of single ladies on here, and a lot are looking for BBW as well.

I'm very clear if someone messages and it will never go past the chat stage. I also don't tend to chat to people from a long distance away unless there is something there that "clicks" and feels right and special.

Ha, you see I really can't get my head around the fact that people, poo poo social meets, it's where you get to know, someone surely? Sure we've had social meets that have developed into more. We've also had social meets where it's been decided, to take it further on another occasion. Still as the saying goes each to their own!

I can't remember the last time I messaged someone with a view to get fun, I never really did that much, prefer just getting to know people through forum stuff, parties and socials I guess.

I don't think it would affect my confidence either way, it's only messages online. That said, it always feels good when things click

There seems to be a common misconception that single bi fems get inundated with messages - far from it in my case. I do message couples and other single bi fems if their profile really catches my eye, but I know what I'm looking for and don't send lots of messages. I do normally get a response and if the chat goes well I'll travel. I refuse to let distance be a problem - where there's a will there's a way.

So yes, peaks and troughs on here too.

The thing with distance is, wherever you say your location is...doesn't mean you are there all the time..so like I said never say never..

Its sometimes hard as well as you cant always send a message if you are outside the age range even if the person doesn't mind...

Its all good though, plenty of good people around, glad I started joining in the forums.

Distance is easily covered if you are both willing to meet half way

Joining the forum is also a good thing as it shows your personality more than a few lines in a pm which can just be deleted and never read.

Personally it's rare for me to send a first message and that's due to the fact that I have repeat meets and rarely look for one offs, altho I wouldn't say never for the right person

It's peaks and troughs for everyone I'm sure. Certainly is for me, I have very little free time to meet and I never seem to be able to match that up with when people I'd like to meet are also free

If I didn't have much going on in my life id be able to meet much more often I'm sure but I'm still happy with the way things are.

Same here, I used to send out lots of messages but the sheer amount of guys on here means that it's pretty much useless. The chat is nice with the people I know but no new people for ages.
