Hate the word...and some women are so harsh on themselves, I know all the public image, role models, expectations etc..and the media is vile!! Most of the time I personally think its the wrong outfit..a larger woman in the right dress can look UNBELIVEABLE!

But even if you have curves...the word 'fat' is venomously spat out far too often...even when they put 'ample' it sounds judgemental, so I'm asking fab for a new 'body size' let's have

'real'

if most women actually knew how many men genuinely adore big soft curves i think they'd have a real strut to their step...

We have had to put "Ample" to describe me but, trust me it really isn't a fitting description but then neither is Athletic!!! I'm kind of in-between!

nothing wrong with saying fat though, its the way people say it and who says it I think. if my mum or sister say it, its always said in a nasty way, my son says it to me and he makes me laugh because even when he take the piss its not in a nasty way and he always makes things sound funny.

I've spent all my life dieting, I recon I've done enough miles on that tread mill to get to the moon and back

for nothing, I've always wanted to be a size 8, I've now decided I'm not doing to beat myself up anymore trying to be something I'm never going to be, I don't accept the way I look, I hate my body but I do accept now I'm never going to look good so may as well just get on with life

Its probably safer to just remove the size categories altogether. Body size is not only subjective to the people who look at you, its also subjective to yourself too. I don't consider myself fat by a long way, but someone who prefers the slimmer lady would.

I think MOST people completely missed the point and tried to sideswipe the thread...it was about 'terminology' hence the title fat...and the use of it, we clamp down on words that may racially offend ie: coloured etc but we still spit that word out and I personally would like to heat less of it, biological we are all fat as we a ALL have fat cells yet the word in today's language is very derogatory. I wasn't saying larger women are sexier or more real...it was a positive look at changing terminology.

its a place full of desperate men that would fuck anything with a fanny. thats not everyone but its an epic proportion of what makes up the site

As I also said in the original post and I stand by it media is VILE its not tangible its not everyone's opinion of beauty nor what's acceptable or what's best, its down to an editor..

One persons choice,

this in succession starts 'trends' hence in the 50s the hourglass figure was (and in my opinion still is!!) Hot as fuck..then twiggy came along, then it changed in the 80s, most of us have icons and naturally we like beauty but honestly you can't accept whatever the 'media' tells you is beautiful is indeed beautiful..you have to break free and say no its not my idea of beauty..only then will media listen and start using different shapes and sizes and in return people will accept it more.
