Everyone will go and see it because of the books but it is honestly terrible... Anyone else agree?

I haven't read the books, and I don't want to. (Friends of mine who are WAY into BDSM, have lambasted it's portrayal of the dynamics within a Dom/Sub rship) I haven't watched the film I don't want to (Basically because it's just the NEW franchise a là Twilight & Harry Potter, no not HP because those were actually good books.) I'm also sick to death of it being mentioned every 30 seconds on all 1,000,000 ITV channels (I'm sure they invested stock in these books), plus the guy who plays Mr Grey ain't even that hot.

According to our local radio you shouldn't go see it with your friends, because it's not that type of film. You shouldn't go see it with your partner because it isn't that type of film. You shouldn't go see it with your parents because it's not that type of film.

I have visions of my local CineWorld (other franchise available) turning into some sex cinema for the duration with men in macs walking into their tissues

I quite liked the sexual tension in the book, though I will admit that it was poorly written and that even I could've done better.

I do fancy seeing the film just to see whether they've captured the tension between the characters. However, I'm also not silly enough to pay at the cinema for something that's likely to be pants. I'll just wait for the dvd

The books were a bit shit I can't imagine the film will be any better. I'm sure loads of people on here will be seeing it and post a review. Will save me wasting my money on it.....lol
