Friends Lists..What are they for?

What are people's expectations of those that they have on their friend's list?

I get the impression some people like to use it as a way to view more pictures, but is there an expectation that those on the list actually make some effort at communication on a regular basis? If not, I really don't see the point?

The people on my list are people I have met, people who I plan on meeting and of which I talk to regularly.

Some people do just accept any one and everyone simply to gain more "Fabs". The Top Fabbed Photos has a pattern and regularly shows the same people.

I'll be using mine for meets i've already had and potential meets and that's it.

If you accept that it is simply to allow people to look at your pics that's fine. Like you I have ended up deleting people if there has been to attempt to chat afterwards. Personally, if I didn't have an interest in meeting someone, I wouldn't add them to the list in the first place.

Hi I use the Hotlist to see the people I want to see on line and keep updated.I see no point in the friends list really, unless you want to show you are popular than me!

I just didn't want my main page clogging up with photos so put a few on there so people could get an idea of whether they fancy me or not, then if they do they could choose to chat and maybe meet or just look at the rest of my pics.

My lists are glitching so i figured i'd just make friends pics public and remove friends, otherwise i would have just left them in friends and had loads of friends still. I use my hotlist for people i like chatting to and i will have meets, potential meets and friends on my friendslist still.

For me it is for friends I've met, people I'm hoping to meet or chat to a lot. I guess everyone uses it differently. For others it's something else to get their knickers in a twist over.

They are people I have felt a connection of some sort. We may have chatted or met or just had a laugh on the forums.

Either way, the fact we don't talk often is not an issue. I still like them

essex just looking around

Only those in my friends are those I have actually met. Any one I chat to is in my hotlist

So my friends are actually friends. So for many years from other sites and we use to communicate xx

We have 5 profiles on our friends list as they are exactly that "friends". We have met four, played with two and hoping to meet one very soon

We don't accept friend invites until we have had a chat on here, maybe phone call and arranged a meet

thats why i don't have anyone on my friends list i haven't spoken to.....

or maybe the moral is not to accept random friends requests...

"Erm, making friends? "

By the sound of things most would only put people on the list if they considered them to be friends already, not to make friends.

If you send a few messages back and forth and decide that you wish to add each other as friends as you'd like to get to know more then isn't that making friends?
