I have no issue with people with filters on profiles as i have too

but i haven noticed of late people joining up as one age and on the profile state they are alot younger, so will by past filters

seems you cant win

I've seen this too, and the other way around, stating in the profile text that they are older than they have set on their profile, but have done so to get around filters.

I don't really see any logic to doing this (or in fact lying about ones age)

I can't see any reason to do that.

if I meet someone I want to be appreciated for what I am.

how awful if someone would expect a 35 year old and then gets me with my 49?!

This has happened to me before. Not from this site. He said he was one age turned up could tell he wasn't.. Turns out he was 5ish year old than the age I gave him.

Hate people that lie about their age. Just be honest.

Surely the age updates with the birth of date put in the personal details, which I believe can only be changed the one time!?!?

I adjust my age range annually to keep any prospective meets within a reasonable range of me.

However I also have to widen my search radius as a lot of peeps seem to stick to 40...

Yep! Unless they start a new profile every couple of years as I understand it you can only change date of birth once.

I am the same age. and I would consider myself as more interesting and actually more attractive than I was in my twenties. ok my body has changed. but I am so much naughtier now and self confident.

I know what you mean not that I knew you in your twenties,haha but I can say from experience that women who have lived a little know what they want and don't have any hangups,and like yourself tend to be more confident and this confidence oozes sex appeal

Sometimes people put their age in their profile text and forget about it. The age on the profile changes but unless the person physically changes their profile text that stays at the younger age and can cause some confusion.

But let's face it, unless you ask for photographic id in each meet everyone can lie about their age lol

I have never felt the need to lie about my age and I have found it often works in my favour. I have met people who have age ranges lower than my age and they have returned, which speaks for itself.

Sometimes wish i hadn't been so honest with my age, so frustrating sometimes when the cut off is 55!!. But its there for a reason i suppose.
