Just been looking at local updates and come across a status Where a man as not shown up for a meet ,

Why can't they let them know that he not going to turn up .

They look a nice couple but I unfortunately out of there age range .

Maybe the couple said something to make him decide not to turn up. Possibly they didn't turn up or saw him from a distance and snuck off but put that status up to throw him off the scent. What does it achieve to put a status like that up anyway?
