near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

Good question! Of the three clubs I`ve been to I don`t think ONE would be suitable for someone in a wheelchair. How badly diabled is the person? Could they manage a small flight of stairs or are they wheelchair bound? One club I can`t recommend, and it grates me to say this, is Chameleons in Darlaston as it`s over three floors all connected with stairs. It`s doubtfull if the proprietors would be happy with someone of badly impaired mobility being in the club in case of an emergency evacuation of the building, otherwise I`ve no doubt there would be no problem in getting a few strong willing helpers to get the person in and out of the club.

A person on walking sticks came to Xtasia for a period of about 6 months up until a year ago.

Sadly, I've read one or two club reviews on various sites, singling him out as a reason for having a moan. So apart from apart from facilities for the disabled to think about, there will be some pretty disabled attitudes to get over as well, whichever club you go to.

Utopia used to have excellent facilities for wheelchairs etc but nobody is really sure what the club is doing at the moment, when you contact them they say they are being refurbished to open in the future but they have been saying that for a couple of years now shame was an excellent club with fantastic potential.

Chameleons as someone has said is totally unsuitable for most disabled people, an old building that really cannot be changed to accommodate them.

For anyone wondering about the revised laws on disabled access, swinging clubs are private members clubs not open to the public so are not subject to the same rules as such places as libraries and shops.

Jed and Sasha you were right, Utopia was a great club, we agree with you there. We have some friends who know the main people there so will try and find out what is happening with it for you.

Bertnbecky one club we think may be ok for you is Infusion in Blackpool. It has one flight of stairs up to the changing room but if Bert was ok with it he could remove his clothes in the lounge and becky could nip upstairs to put them in the locker. The jacuzzi sauna and swimming pool and bar are all on the ground floor as is a new playroom so we don't think you would have much trouble there. Hope this helps.
