Hello!

just looking for some advice really on what's a decent camcorder to get? Obviously I realise you can pay the earth for a top professional camera but my budget would be around say....£200?

Wanting to film in the bedroom and in secluded outdoor locations.

Thank-you for any responses in advance

xx

I personally find JVC elvrio cam corders to be good. HD to an SD card. Lots of functions and quite sturdy for such a small cam.

If you're looking for a point and shoot style camera then a Sony Cybershot is still a good choice... All depends what you're looking for xx

Great boots by the way x

Go pro are massively overpriced, plenty of other small cameras at much lower price for the same quality. for instance Muvi.

I'd look at buying some LCD lights if you are planning bedroom shoots. . Something like this:

Neewer® CN 160 LED CN-160 160PCS Dimmable Ultra High Power Panel(Amazon)

You can get good results from an IPhone or similar if you already have one. Just buy a gizmo to mount it and a small tripod(Gorillapod is good if you fancy hanging it from a light fitting )

When looking for a camera, you'll need to think about where are you going to store all your data. Filming takes up a lot of space and with that said, it would be advised to purchase a good sized external Hard Drive if you don't own one already.

A good camera shop like Jessops will be able to give you some sensible advice on lower budget cams.

Near the River

Get one with steady shot and low light facilities

£200 won’t buy you much.
