Is Fab the right place for many, or should it have a name change?

Do you consider yourself a swinger & Fab to be a swingers site.

Most people's profile state they want to meet genuine like minded people, but that just constitutes playing? The definition of swinging is Wife or partner swapping, so that applies to the couples on here, what about the vast majority of single men or women on here looking for sex or a relationship? These are not swingers, so are they on the right site, or should Fab just be called that & not Fab swingers? There are hundreds of dating websites, but think some people are abusing Fab cus it's free.

What do others think?

I like singles because we meet single men and it seems the majority of couples want to meet single girls,so while I don't think that it's swinging in the traditional sense it would be a duller place without them and we certainly wouldn't be on here

What I do find peculiar is singles who look down their noses at couples on here as though there is something wrong with their relationship

Swinging essentially means partner swapping of a sexual nature.

When a couple meet a single at least one of them usually swaps partners. When singles meet up they Are still enjoying sex with different people.

Its all swinging, the only thing that has changed is the classic dynamic of married couple, 2.4 children applying to the vast majority.

Damn right you are, hit the nail on the head! I know there are tons of single males here, but really it doesn't give certain couples to be total snobs in their terms and conditions/selection criteria as though they're some celebrity swinger couple or something.

Out of interest are there any genuine sites out there similar to Fab but for liberated singles?

I'm not interested myself, but some may be on here as it's the first liberated site/forum/environment they have found.

Everytime I looked whilst a single male, I always felt I was being scammed - adultfriendfinder etc

the defintion of swinging includes a whole host of sub categories including, threesomes, cuckolding, gangbangs, parties, clubs, and many other things, but your right there are people that use the site that are in the wrong place, but no fab swingers should remain just that, fabswingers.

I always assumed the term "swinging" developed purely because wife-swapping didn't cover all the various facets. Swingers aren't all married, certainly Baloo wasn't, and I don't recall a Queen Louie either, and we all know he was the king of the swingers

That said, when we first came on here, I did think all singles should state on their profile what exactly they were prepared to swap in exchange for my wife, a sort of adult Swap Shop, but without Kieth Chegwin obviously

Well it seems I put the cat amongst the pigeons, however at not point was I snobbish towards singles or said I didn't like them, I merely stated that a lot of people are using Fab as a free dating site & I think there are other more suitable sites for these people. It doesn't bother us, if and when we want a single guy we have loads of choice, but not a day goes by when singles (mainly men) ask why it's so difficult to get a meet. Yes some could do with some profile advice but the bottom line is there's too many people on here, which hampers the chances of genuine people getting meets, sadly people are bombarded & have to spend time ing out the time wasters & fakes, caused in part because this is a free site.

Currently approx 25,000 people online. I don't think in the context of the adult population that is so many. Couples looking to meet other couples should be completely unaffected by the number of single males (or females) on the site.

People who use their filters well and take a sensible approach don't get bombarded. I've had plenty of messages, I don't think I've ever missed one from someone I wanted to meet. People I'm attracted to will always stand out.
