Good in our book, we always have a look, it did occur to us that we hardly message or wink back though.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I sometimes have a look at my wink list but rarely notice. I have winked someone back a couple of times but never subsequently received a message so assume they winked by mistake.

Personally find them very irritating not the actual fact we get them but it shows people do not read our profile first as we ask for them not to be sent.

I never wink anyone, nor do i take any notice of one's we've received, I feel like if someone is interested in us they should message, as we do if we like the look of someone. However Jay does check them on occasion and sometimes messages people who have. Juicy x

A lot of people seem to hate winks.we love them! A good way to catch someone's eye. Always check out profiles of people who wink us and message them if we like it.

It's catch twenty two, some peeps think it's a lazy way of showing interest however some like them as its a short and sweet way of letting someone know your interested

I do send winks occassionally. Its not through laziness just an expression of interest having read the profile.

Never really sent one till just the other day, saw the profile of a beautifull lass and she has on her profile she isn't interested in guys, just women and any men should just send a wink and she'd review and get back if interested so I winked......

Who knew, they work

A brief chat ensued and now she's on my friends list!

I'm a new convert to respectful winking!

never look at them and delete them in bulk once a week or so as I hate the number showing when you look at the account page...

The wink option is there to be used, there's absolutly no harm in it and it's a good way of showing that first little bit of interest without writing a long message that may possibly be ignored!

It's also convenient to recieve winks as if your not intetested you just don't return it

We like the wink option

Wonder if it would be a good idea to be able to disable winks to your account, for those who don't like them?.....just a thought....

Agree with this why not allow us to use a wink and friend invite filter, people often offer advise about using filters correctly to prevent unwanted contact so just add these to it.

The sender then receives an automatic reply saying this person has decided not to accept whichever they choose ses so simple

Yeah, it seems like an idea....I don't know how easy it would be to impliment, the technical ins and outs of that stuff goes right over my head but it seems winks split opinion with a lot of folk on here so it strikes me as being useful to be able to turn them on or off for ones own account...

If you receive a wink it shows interest, A wink back gives the other party an opportunity to message.

Personally I feel it's better than composing a long first time message to people who are in no way interested, Saves both parties wasting their time.

If a lady or couple wink at me I will look at their profile and at the very least thank them for their positivity.

Ladies can afford to lay back and wait and I can see how its a different perspective that they have.

I guess what bugs me more are people who stress that you must read their profile and then write an eloquent messaage which is to be crafted to meet their needs and then they don't even write back with a thanks for making the effort etc but no thanks.

I believe that good sex and good manners are harmonious bedfellows.

Winks are fine by me. I assume it's a pain to send message after message so a quick wink to register interest makes sense. Some of my best meets have started with a quick wink

99% of what people look for in here are based on your pictures..... Then your profile text, winks are a good way of just nudging someone to look at you and taking note as to whether or not they would be interested.... It's far better than writing a long detailed thought out message just for it to get deleted and not read, we appreciate a wink and we always let the persons know what we don't like or what could be a possibility, as much as we have sympathy for the ones who get thousands of msg a day but it is nice and common decency to respond, and we will even to a wink

A great labour saving device!

If they like the look of your profile you'll probably hear back

I would like to think a wink is a case of uncertainty, it is a 'look at my profile and let me know if you are interested?' sort of question. Rather than a full message of intent, with a hope of a response. But then it's not the sender who translates the link, it's the receiver, so who knows!!!

I do send a wink if I see a profile I like , though I am never sure about the etiquette about winking.

I like to read the profile and then send a message based on the profile
