why do people pretend to be cpls and post meets, message and txt and arrange places to meet and even go as far as giving hotel details for a meet..

only to be completely lying and having guys chasing ghosts and turning up at hotels and them not being there... its just baffeling what they get out of that game??

They obviously get some cheap thrill out of manipulating some poor person into wasting time and money. Unfortunately I can't conceive of what type of person would do that so can't explain their actions.

It happens

I had a guy last week arrange a meet with me, we had been talking for a couple of weeks, I had last weekend off work so we arranged to meet, arrange a time and a place and everything then on the morning of the meet 'poof' user no longer on site

I wondered if I was still supposed to go as arranged but I guessed if I did he wouldnt be there so I didn't bother

My one in seven weekend off work wasted grrrrrr

I am kicking myself as i can usually spot it a mile away.... but I went to the hotel, they said they had gone to a dogging spot to meet them there.... got to the spot... you guessed itno sign... i had just missed them... i should have trusted my gut and left at that point but i tried the hotel again... no sign and then hey presto they vanish off here etc and no more replies...

I should have known better!! but they had there add on all day and had done status updates etc etc etc.

It's not even just fakes. We had a meet arranged for yesterday, on Wednesday there was a status update that sounded like we were being kept as a back up plan. I spoke to the lady on Thursday and she said she'd call next morning - nothing.

What irritates me is that we could have had a meet with someone who didn't think we were second best, all she had to say was she'd changed her mind. No hard feelings.

I don't think people get this. If I have arranged something and its cancelled with decent notice I'm fine. I won't get cross or start keying their car or anything. But they choose to mess people about instead of actually being honest. People are strange.

I can't see what the pleasure is though? I can only imagine its a saddo guy or if it is a cpl then a pair of cnuts, who sit and laugh at the amount of guys they can get driving about.. i saw 4 other cars at the dogging location... i suspect there on here also pissed off after having the same experience...

I only accommodate, though ant believe people actually do go that far, sick or to ugly to show up, no confidence.

Move on there playing with themselves still while you get to have fun meets.

I always think it makes me come over as a bit desparate looking for last minute meets and if you come over as desparate your going to get all kind of wierdos applying

I never have a back up. It would have taken me long enough and free time manipulation to arrange to meet someone in the first place. I wouldn't want any old stand in

And then they'll re-join with a new profile and lead someone up the merry path again. We've had it with 2 single guys on different occasions. It's down heartening and puts us off that's why we are so cautious on here and like to make sure people have good verifications etc. karin xx

So... Guess what! Just looking on the site and only come across a single guy profile advertising himsekf as at the very same hotel!!! Ok so coincidence is in the dictionary for a reason but i thought id ask had he been stood up too!! And my message was immediatly deleted!! So who would take bets on this guy being the "cpl" all along??

I only meet in clubs. That's my back up plan. They don't show the odds of me having fun is high. Fed up with arranging meets with fantasists. So club only meets work for me (unless I know them well)

I turned up to meet someone I'd been chatting to for a few days, when I tried to message him from pub car park to say I'd arrived he'd blocked me. Wtf!

He'd had the time to do that but not to just message and say no thanks.

Unfortunately, they don't come with any warnings, he had veris...

One warning sign is if they go quiet. Though this is not infallible.

It's more annoying when you have told someone else you can't meet as you've already arranged something.
