What happenend to the good old days of wife swapping when you met as a foursome then split up to play, in those days there were no fakes, no hidden agendas and everyone was EXACTLY who they said they were.

Sheffield couple, looking for that VERY elusive couple to play separate then hopefully progress to separate dates.

I think the OP was referring to before the Internet when most were genuine swingers compared to a large majority now playing at being swingers & not actually meeting.

The Internet has made it easier to meet but has made it to much a big commercial business rather than a fun thing.

Perhaps OP and their partner have a preference for separate rooms as me and mine do. While we're not looking to go as far as separate dates, ( ) we have found that for us, it's what works best.

We prefer same room because the fun for us is sharing and watching each other have fun and yet we are not fake, we have no hidden agenda and we are exactly who we say we are!

Just because we do it differently to you doesn't make us not real swingers. Each to their own!

Me & Kim enjoy same & separate room fun & leave it up to couples we meet etc.

I personally do find its naughtier doing different rooms as sometimes couples are worried about offending each other by say doing something that wouldn't usually do with each other, when it different rooms everyone can relax and enjoy themselves.

Swinging is different for everybody so we thread the ground when meeting people & see what works best for them.

How people swing differs from others so you have to respect their limits as no two will be the same.

There are no guidelines or no rules & solely depends on what peoples own limits are, as i said it depends on experience & trust between a couple.

The OP's view is their way of swinging & though it may not be everyones taste it will appeal to others, we should respect everyones tastes even though it may not always be to our liking.

sound like you were not around, acnnot view your profile so just an educated guess, so, let me tell you about how it was !!!

1) No internet

2) No mobile phones

We all made contact via under counter magazines with your private home number and addresses, nobody ever knocked on our door uninvited, nobody ever rang who was not who they said they were and single guys didnt bloody annoy everyone by prtending to be somone they are not.

Thats how it was ! how dow we know what we are talking about ? we were wife swapping in the late seventies.

What the internet has done, and all the reasearch in America appears to reiterate the point, is yes !!! it has made it easier for people like us ti make contact with like minded people, under counter magazines is a thing of the past, sadly the internet has also been the driving force behind single guys getting off on pretending to be couples or single ladies, they can hide behind anonimity and as soon as it gets anywhere near to a fem / fem telephone call they vanish, or block you, or call US fakes for gods sake.

Exactly, why feel that you have to play all together in one big sticky heap if its not for you. When we mafde the decision at the age of 50 to try again, we found it incredably difficult playing with someone else infront of each other, we just could not let ourselves go, but because so few people these days feel the same way we have had to just get used to it !!! So yes, we play all together as well now but will always choose separate if we get the chance.

Nothing what so ever against single men its just not what we are looking for, we put that because we didnt want to get inundated with single guys saying

We play separate with couples as in m/f and m/f that can be on the same evening, we dont mind on different evenings.

Yes there are a lot of separate room couples on fab though very much in the minority, hence our blog we just wanted to start a discussion as why that is, why did it change from wife swapping to swinging ! Of course we dont fancy everyone who shares the same interest as us in the same way as im sure you will not play with everyone who contacts you who shares the same interests as you, there has to be that initial spark, thats not being picky, snobby, uber choosy or anything else its just life.

You have hit the nail on the head there, though none separate room couples would not get that, I know ( Mr writing ) that Mrs Flirtyfrogs lets herself go much more when Im not there and vice vera, we dont get jealous of each other about that, for us, rightly or wrongly, the ultimate expression of allowing your partner sexual freedom is to let them experiment on their own, not for everyone we know, wife swapping days, it WAS for eveyone, were we more sexually experimental because of it ?

In our case....yes !

Couples say they are in to one thing then once they split up they own up to things, like you say kissing is one.

But again, I dont see anything wrong in that, in our case, as an example, we have NEVER tried anal, like NEVER, first time Mrs tried it was with someone else, didnt offend me in the least.

So you've found that more couples want to stay together whilst playing?

I can appreciate that at your time of life/length of your relationship, you know each other inside out etc.

A lot of couples on fab are relatively new in comparison - learning about each other still and that encompasses learning new

experiences together
