Fake profile! Alarm bells and tells

We all know there's a lot of fake profiles on here. The reasons are numerous, from people just wanting to get off, to time wasters, to worse!

But what are some of your sure fire hints that you just know makes a fake profile? Things that just scream "yeah ok love, jog on!".

I'll start with a few!

1) No verifications at all, or one single verification by one guy. Sometimes not even site verified as well!

2) Stunning 18 year old hotty, with face pics galore!

3) Not willing to prove who they are in a call, cam or even a pic.

4) "User no longer on site" / "Profile deleted".

5) a stupidly short profile consisting of how much of a cum slut she is or how she badly needs to be filled up with spunk...

'Girls' who have only written a line, have 'need pussy now' type status updates, have no verifications of any type yet have many face pics public. For starters.

To be honest you can be veried within a few days by cam or a social

Also people who on the first mention of a fem to fem phone call they stop messaging back.

Well under half of that reasoning I am fake then - I very rarely give out my number until after a social meet. If people want to think I am fake because I value my privacy, then good for them.

I have been told I am fake tho... not sure why.

Vickyandlou are fake!! That's why you can't name and shame - people will lie. Usually people who have been knocked back. Fem to fem phone call. Nope wouldn't do that to prove who I am. If people can't spot a genuine fem then more fool them.

This completely applies to me too...same goes for pics.

What is interesting is that a thread like this talks [fairly enough to a point] about how many fakes there are, but doesn't always recognise that is why some people prefer to keep things private...It is sometimes about common sense.

I think it takes guts to show open face pics and all, but everyone here should be supported for any decisions they take...as gets said in so many forums - we are all different!

It's those couples (!!!) who spend so much time online they become completely paranoid and a bit lost online!

But it happened gradually, they don't realise what they've turned into; fake-profile hunters who are sadly stuck indoors, by the monitors and keyboards, telling themselves how very superior they are to us and that they can see right throug us.

My biggest tool for spotting fakes is pure gut instinct.

But the most obvious signs are:

•Stolen pictures from the internet

•Being too good to be true.

•Wanting to chat explicitly in detail

•Saying they want to meet but making excuses when asked to make plans

•Asking for pictures without disclosing any of themselves

There's a few more but as I mentioned it's gut feeling that helps me them out. I don't indulge in conversations on here, if I come across one I like the look of I'll tell them to meet me for a coffee social. So far everyone I've been interested in has met me for a coffee, well I have a hot chocolate, I've had loads of hot chocolates but no fucks cos the guys have been nice but not as fanciable in the flesh!

This has happened before but it happened again... Spot the alarm bell moment for yourself!

* Sexy single girl is young, has amazing figure, has face pics, has dirty profile.

* Sexy single girl has no site verification but one guy has "met" her.

* Sexy single girl can't prove herself to be real and keeps dodging the question.

* Sexy single girl is suddenly "UNLOS".

* Another sexy single girl appears on the site.

* New sexy single girl messages us, talking in the same way.

* New sexy single girl is from Telford as well... What are the chances?!

* New sexy single girl has no verific......... Oh, no, wait, she does! From one single guy! And oh look, its the same guy that did the other girls!

* New sexy single girl sends new pics of a totally different girl from before! Wow!

* New sexy single girl is unwilling to prove who she is.

* New sexy single girl "UNLOS".

Oh, boy...

Now, my alarm bells went off on the very first step. "sexy single girl" NEVER messages us. I think we have had maybe 4 in our entire time here, and only mey with two of them... And one of those was a girl with her own profile as part of a couple.

we used to have a newbie - came and went several times over after staying on site for a couple of weeks - always localish - fabbed our pics - messaged and replied straight away - never had friends on list or verified - what new single fem can pick out one couple and give them that much attention we arent the stuuning body beautifuls in any way shape or form - it got to the stage we said oh shes (??) back haha - been gone a while now so we reckon friends pranking us -

Theres one couple I see pop up local that we have serious doubts on... They post about 5 messages a day looking for meets, always the same sort of message. Then it gets to about 1am and they throw a wobble message out there, like "guess its too late for hassle free safe sex then" sort of thing...

Every single day, for months now...

The pics on the profile are... Awful. I mean, really dirty, really manky looking... The sort you wouldn't WANT to meet. Their profile pic looks like a still from Jeremy Kyle...

I won't say who it is, of course...

But man... Its just wrong... Even asking for period sex which the kids are sleeping...

Yeah a lot of older pics were small, now we have ultra HD high res screenshots that show off every last imperfection and hair you missed haha!

But with pics we ALWAYS tineye anybody we are thinking of meeting. Even small pics can be picked up. C x

Ladies asking for meets continuously then just deleting you only to post the same message again on the meets. Putting Husband aware and must vet you is also a give away as far as I am concerned.

Dont agree with the lack of veri's though as some meets will not give veri's as point of principal. Its a double edged sword that one as I have met many socially who don't want veri's.

No veri's is totally fine! But being sit ever irked at the least is a must, and don't be surprised if people ask for proof. You're point is a solid one, absolutely, but you can still be site verified very very easily without anybody else seeing anything at all. C x

One that makes me laugh is when they just put a photo up with their fab name on (like the pic you put or for site verification) but they are not actually verified. One profile we saw were of just a pair of arms, a dick and a piece of paper with their name on. Silly person did not even try to at least find some body doubles for the other shots. Hairy arms, no hairy arms, the vanishing tatoo. Was a pityful attempt.

We however have been called fake as we do not send out pics to strangers nor do we get into phone calls. If people want us to jump through hoops then we just can not be bothered.

We always meet in clubs and we meet in clubs on couples nights only so that proves that we are a couple. We also do the sing n swing night at xtasia (one this weekend) so we are known. We are also verified on fab enough anyway so a pic and a phone call and jumping through hoops is not for us.

At a club if someone does not like what they see then we part company and they can still enjoy the club rather then meet somewhere dodgy.

So hey all..... WE ARE REAL... whoo hoo.

Fakes can be easy and can be hard. So if you think it is a single guy but want to meet him just pick a couples night at a club as couples nights generally let single females in so you will get in but they will be left at the door.

Hidden friends and verifications are no signs of being fake as people on here hide them for all sorts of valid reasons.

The suggestion of a phone call is the most reliable way of flushing out fakes, particularly men posing as single women, of which there are many on here.

Not read the posts but mine relate to how I feel. I've been around a good few years, a few years on fab - so know Fab's makeup and people who may use it. I'm willing to trust my gut instinct, even if I lose out somehow. When I feel an aversion or discomfort, then I don't continue further.

If photos don't quite match up, perhaps some/many of them are out of date etc, then I'd check that out more fully. Live cam's give an instant way to find out how they look now.

I push for phone numbers fairly quickly. If they can't/won't provide a number, then I'm not comfortable. I like to speak on the phone, so we all can ask what we wish, before confirming a meet. Fab messaging is great, but it's not real time interactive, so others can studiously think and think, before replying. You can't prevaricate on the phone, with someone who is avoiding questions clearly standing out. That would raise alarm bells for most people.

I ask questions in my fab messages. Where someone doesn't answer them, I become uncomfortable. If they answer with something else instead, it's a red flag.

If users push for me to do all the hard work, and they give little - it's a goodbye, as they're showing themselves as not giving me respect. Which brings me to the next point: the moment there's anything hinting at less than 100% respect for me - and surprisingly there are people like this!!! - then I'm off, just in case.

Poorly worded profiles, little effort made, can be easily created as duplicates and thus possibly not genuine somehow.

Don't accept being pushed and pressured by someone. Stand back and put the brakes on, and go at your speed. It is better not to meet than meet and waste your time, because you over-looked something that your common sense was telling you to look for.

Of course there are those who use others' photos too - a quick check may find out if this is the case, but isn't 100% a guarantee. Again a web chat or photo taken today can cross check them.

Overall, if in doubt, take more time and care or stop the contact. There is no prize for meeting more people, when some of them may be duds, not turn up or be absolutely wrong for you. My time is precious and yours is too - don't waste it.

best thing is if you spot a fake press the report button add a few words to say why you think its fake..

Could just be lazy profile creation?

There's plenty of smokers listed as not meeting smokers, plenty of straight guys looking to meet men etc - and plenty of apparently tattoo-less people listed as having tats! (Like us - good editing with pics! )

At the end of the day there's no sure fire way of telling. Common sense and gut instinct are better tools than any other.

Remember, at the end of the day, Fab is a business. They don't care that the site is now as bad as AFF for fakes. All they care about is volume and ultimately subscriber numbers.

Interestingly, if you Google news stories regarding vanilla dating site firm Cupid, they got done for employing their own staff to act as 'hot young things' and message males on the site as a way of getting them to subscribe longer.

I hide my friends and my veris simply because I'm a private person. Though I've reinstated one now as is been a while since I was active.

I'm funny about giving out my phone number having had people turn into weird stalkers who won't leave me alone so my number doesn't usually get shared until after a social meet.

Its just about safety and security for me. If people have an issue with that then I wouldn'twant to spend time with them anyway ..

We have noticed also that if the fakes have paid to be a site supported that the admin are even less inclined to delete them !!!

We have suggested on several occasions that it wouldnt be hard surely to put it in the rules etc that if with a 4 week period a profile has failed to photo verify themselves they are automatically deleted.. it would seriously rid the site of a massive amount of fakes

1. A bunch of photos which are all professional looking. I realise some people are gifted photographers and some go and have boudoir shots done....but often a whole set of pro photos is a giveaway. Reverse search them and seefif they show up on any porn/model sites

2. A "couple" where only the man is ever online. Any photos are of him or if there is one of the woman she's alone. And funny how only the guy is ever up for fun.

3. Foreign electric sockets or light switches on walls. Ok they could be holiday snaps but when uts 10 photos in different locations you can guess the person is not in the UK.
