Anyone look at profiles and think that the other people are perhaps too "good" for them? Whether its looks, body shape, cock size, whatever; do you do this? And so following on from that, have you ever gone for it anyway? Punched well above your weight and had a meet with someone you thought was well out of your league. Curious to hear your stories. Thank you.

I try not to think that way. Not out of arrogance but out of respect for the people I do message. Might sound silly but I'd hate to think I was only chatting because someone better was out of my league.

All my life i've always thought everyone was out of my league. Had proper gorgeous guys ask me out and thought they were taking the piss or something (was worse when i was at school actually, even if not gorgeous guys asked me out i thought they were taking the piss). I don't think i was normal though?

Eventually i ended up with a dickhead, thought he was good enough for me, put up with his crap, had kids with him, realised i was better than him for sure and left him. Never looked at another guy for about 18 months, and even when i met my next partner i wasn't looking or sure i wanted to be with anyone. He was very patient, he boosted me up with real love, he made me feel good about myself and that it was ok to be me.

I don't think anyone is out of anyones league, sure they might not fancy you from first sight but you never know. It's not just looks that make people attractive, it's the whole package. I definitely don't have a type, when it comes to looks, some guys i like them more once we've been chatting a while and some guys i like less. And this is just for sex, never mind anything long term.

Does not mean I have a low opinion of myself just because I can look at a guy and know he can do better than me, its about being realistic, if a guy is good looking with a good body and can clearly get good looking women why would he reply to me

Yes a few times I've had messages off guys I thought would be too hot for me but after sending face pics they still chatted. So on that basis I've carried on chatting with them. Not all resulted in meets as good looks is no guarantee of good personality. But a couple turned into very hot meets

I think it happens quite a bit to both sexes. I'm not sure if it is that people are out of the league so to speak or stuck up themselves.. You shouldn't be having this problem cod you look top drawer anyway..

We have received quite a few messages from men, couples, women and TVs telling us that we are ugly. Totally out of the blue with no prompt, no profile _iews, just some form of insult. Not too many thankfully.

But we have messaged people before feelig confident but knowing that really we don't stand a chance and have been told such lovely things as "haha, no chance" or "we go to the gym, give up the chips and maybe I'll pitty fuck you" or even the classic "fuck off no chance". I've got a looooong list of people who have just totally shot us down dead, after a nice polite, well written message was sent to them.

It's always to couples where the woman looks incredible and the guy is sporting a six pack... Make of that what you will. But because of that, we dont meet men with muscles or too much of a focus on being in shape. Sad

when I was on another site someone very posh and good looking kept messaging me, I thought I wouldn't be good enough for him but I agreed to meet him in the end and was glad I did, he was very down to earth and not stuck up at all.

so most of the time I will meet them if they look good because they are nice people as well as attractive.

Thanks. Wouldn't have got over anything if it wasn't for the that next guy i got with. All it took was for one person to show me i was lovable, and for me to understand that the way other people are isn't because of you it's because of them. He never said a bad word against me in all the time i've known him, even after we split up and he's always got my back (i have his too).

Having kids helped a lot as well, i realised i had to show my kids it's not ok to be treated like shit, i stopped that cycle of abuse and really proud of myself for doing so.

I never take debates or opinions seriously btw, i understand people don't agree on stuff and it's ok not to.

On a site like this, it's easy to think someone is amazing...until you meet them. Then it can go either way. You were exactly right or horribly wrong! A profile only show's you what that person wants you to see and you'll only take in what takes your fancy.

Keep an open mind and be happy and confident when approaching and being approached.

There are only so many no thanks, not a chance, straight deletes and blocks that people get before they start to put 2 and 2 together.

Even worse if all is going good on messages, then when pics are exchanged its a "sorry, no attraction"

Rejection of any kind is painful.

No one is obliged to reply or explain, I get that. But in the absence of any feedback, people will look to their own insecurities and draw conclusions.

Not everyone is comfortable in their own skin, or believe they are attractive. Some women (and men) may have had the confidence beaten out of them.

Some are at the beginning of their journey, so won't be confident. To say if you aren't confident, what are you doing here? I would argue that some are maybe seeking to gain confidence in a relatively safe and apparently non judgemental community.

Lots of people have a multitude of issues to deal with at home or in their heads. Some may have chosen here to try and sort it on some manner.

Leagues exist because of personal preferences. People choose to play with those they find attractive. When you are rejected by someone who percieve to be out of your league, it reaffirms the existence of leagues and helps to cement your position in the lower leagues.

A complex issue with no cleat cut answer.

You have nothing to lose by sending a message, other than the time it took to type. There are some less fortunate than others in the looks department, but their personality more than makes up for that. Personally, I'd rather be meeting with average looking people than the gorgeous ones. My own experience is that a lot of them are too into themselves and their looks to give a hoot about anyone else, far too shallow to hold a halfway decent conversation and while I am here for some adult fun, the social side, for me anyway, is important. If it was a quick shag I wanted, there are far easier ways of going about it than being on Fab.

B here. Yes, I feel as if I'm fighting a losing battle sometimes - with myself.
