Why do most guys seem to think it's a single fems profile when they're messaging a couple? ?! Receive alot of messages all aimed at the fem..hi babe, hi hunni. .Wt? ?

We also find this quiet annoying. Or when the single guys know it's the male half replying the messages become one worded. I'm not saying all single guys are like that just some of them

Yeah that's why I said most. I questioned the last messaged he said sorry I just presumed cos of the pics..obviously didn't read!. Some we get nice polite friendly messages aimed at us both, it's the ones that don't read that annoy you.

Probably because on a lot of couples profiles the avatar is the woman and that's what has attracted them.

So what? So because the pic is of a woman these moronic singles can be excused the ignorance of failing to make ven the most token effort?

We've found that this problem is rife, and is not an age thing either, it's across all age groups. We tend to meet the chaps who are polite, not overly crude, and can at least maintain a basic conversation in text form. We don't fancy meeting people who are unable to be civil.

We get this all the time too. I occasionally reply saying there's two of us here; its a couples profile. when Bugs replies and calls time on chats for various reasons you can always tell the genuine decent guys cos they don't get offended when we say that BOTH of us have to be on board lol.

Also the ones that start 'hey sexy, hot body , gorgeous pics' or words to that effect.. They Crack me up- I think wow you're blooming well clever if you can get all that from a shoe pic and a shot of Bugs' arse

Exactly the same with cams. N goes online and cams, loads of chat. I'm on and zero, even from couples and fems, it's very unsociable

Yes, I'm afraid it does happen all the time.. A lot of our couple friends get the same.. I find it very rude... And yet they ask to meet and when we politely reject their offer they then become rude and abusive

I think couples should have a profile picture of both of them and equal amounts of solo photos if they want to be addressed as a couple. If your profile looks like you're advertising the woman then expect her to get the mail

I'd agree to a degree but by dint that its a COUPLES profile in itself should surely mean something?!

A lot of couples profiles are clearly just that- both pic and text wise- yet they still have the issue.

We are guilty of this exact thing. There is a reason behind it but its too long winded to explain here. Have actually been thinking of changing our username to be honest. You have a valid point.

A good third of messages go bad when rejection hits. We think that for some men it's just a case of having an inflated sense of themselves and expecting a one line message addressed to N to elicit instant blow jobs and anal.

I had one guy ask if he can meet the Penelope by herself. Then when told to jog on he said i was prob going alone with other women anyway to my partner of 10 years what a dumb ass.

At least they show their true colours before you meet them.

Some guys probably are just having a bad day maybe, but i tend to think if they can abuse you over not wanting to meet them then they might be violent irl and would be risky to meet them. Not sure if that's over the top but it's just the impression i get.

we got similar the other week, then coz i put back thanks but we dont do fun meets, his reply was along the lines of ya a fat slag, minger etc, he then blocked us, he was reported, he then unblocked us sent us more abusive mail, then blocked us again

If I am contacting a couple I will always address it to both parties - it seems basic good manners to me!

Mind you, to put another perspective I have had a few drawn out conversations with the male half of a "couple" where I am pretty sure the female half doesn't exist or doesn't know she is on Fab (although to be fair that could just be because she laughs hysterically once she see's a face pic!).

As for men getting abusive after they have been told they are not going to get a meet, I do find it rather pathetic and a complete vindication of the original choice by the woman / couple. I wouldn't think many of them have the guts to be violent IRL. Unfortunately it does mean that now women and couples are more likely (and quite rightly) to just not respond to men to avoid all the hassle.

As an extra question, whenever a woman or couple takes the time to reply to me to say I am not their type, or they are not meeting at the moment, or not if you were the last man on earth, I always send a quick note back saying thanks for letting me know and good luck. Is this appreciated, or would people rather just not be contacted again?

Always good to be polite. We are scrupulously polite with people who make an effort when messaging. Sometimes what can seem a drawn out messaging process can be the male half operating a dick head filter

We enjoy chatting to people as well. For us meets are not just a message, we agree to meet, then the meet then bye. It's the build up, hopefully getting to know somebody. We prefer the actual meets to be purely sex, no socialising, we do all the chatting before and after

I am easily confused. I would look carefully if I were looking for a couple and address them both,only if they couple were looking for a woman for him or both of them. If she wanted a woman for her man I would address her only. I would look at profile text and decide what to say by that and profile photos. I know there are men who don't read anything and only want to talk to the woman

Some PEOPLE just mail after seeing pictures. Its not exclusive to couples. The same could be said when males from couples profiles, email single fems, asking to meet. Or, when couples mail straight wanting to play bi, etc, etc.

Its going to happen, deal with it, with a reply or blocking.

As some have already pointed out, if your user name and pictures are all feminine and (some, most, lots) guys look with their cocks, then you can't really blame them sending a "hiya babe" message.

Personally, I think its just another way, for (some) couples to be controlling, as let's face it, some love it.

Its the nature of the beast, PEOPLE will email shit, shit goes in the bin...simple.

I think the most idiotic ones are the 'do you play alone' ones. My OH always answers these with a yes I do. They seem keen at first until he tells them that its Chris and not Feebs replying. Strangely they don't message us again. Our loss I guess .

The problem with putting both of us front and center is simple... Nobody wants that. People contact us because of me, not Gav. Nobody ever shows interest in him, but I do seem to get interest. It's basic business really! So we have a large number of pics about me, a few about him. Who wants to see 80 cock shot pics? That's not really what people look for...

Plus it says clear as day on our profile we are a COUPLE. The profile text itself talks about both of us. If that's not enough, then it's not our problem really! C x

I rarely send the first message to a couple, for fear of offending either half of them.

I completely get why couples would be arsed off, but it can be difficult to determine which half of the couple I will end up talking to until they reply.

I will generally talk to them (i.e. both of them) without the linguistic gymnastics of pluralizing everything.

It gets too complicated.

More often than not I will get into the stride with a conversation with one or the other, safe in the knowledge that BOTH will read the messages.

However, addressing a couple as two people is as yet a skill that eludes me. Beyond the basic "I hope you are both well" I won't extend beyond the singular, but not to exclude either party.

Incidentally, I may get mildly saucy with messages, but downright graphic isn't me. Just in case it is Mr answering.
