why fake pix/profiles

ok i know its an old subject but why do real people have fake pix and or fake profiles, whats in it for them? getting pix? sure the net is full of pix and more.

they want to make themselves look better because theyre sad inadequate people. so they pretend to be someone else .they'll never meet anyone so it doesn't matter . its annoying when someone steals from you but i guess is flattering really

I cant figure it out because just say you do get somebody who wants to meet, what then? just try and blag your way through the meet?

I have just recently in tbe past 10 mins found a bisexual man who has nicked loads of the wording from my profile. I've reported him. Happily, he clearly lacks the back-up personality has he hasn't had a meet in a very long time! Haha!

I've just had to report a faker who has been messaging me for about a week. Something seemed off, but today was the last straw... A few nights back I told this person I had one male verification, and nothing else, that they seemed "off" and sadly I just needed more... Tonight they messages back with a pic of a totally different person...

Reported... Blocked... Moving on...

It's so sad people have to do this it spoils it for the rest of us C x

Like most areas of society, this site attracts all sorts, including some fantasists amongst the genuine types...the situation is exacerbated by the nature of the site which means you will undoubtedly get more fantasists than on a ludo message board or diy discussion site or whatever... It comes with the territory I think.

most will just get off on talking about it .which is why i keep my correspondence brief and to the point..as soon as they start asking what i like to do (in my profile ) ,what am i wearing etc .. i know theyre just fantasists

Unfortunately most companies are american and they will follow the consensus that once you upload a photo on the net then in affect you are stating it's fair gain. Some companies like Facebook and twitter technically own 1/2 the rights of your photos and can use them in advertising outside of Europe. In Europe we have greater protections against such things.

I'd say the majority of fake fems or couples are just single guys getting off on the messages they inevitably receive from guys.

It may be gay guys wanting to see guys pics and chat. Or straight ones just looking for sexual chat.

It's not something Fab care about that much as all they care about is user numbers and supporter sales. However, guys need to wisen up too. A new blatent fake account opened near me. Within a couple of days the pic had 300+ Fabs. Are guys that stupid? Or just desperate? Lol

ok so theres a fem onsite who has fake pix, some are searchable on google image, so i think " right fake profil" but then i look and see loadsa verified meets ? but again shes isnt photo verified now whats going on there?

Getting attention off someone you find attractive can get addictive. Some people find the thought of someone like that giving them attention or finding them attractive an ego boost even if it is a lie. If you look at Catfish the series it gives you an insight. I have been victim to about 6 profiles that are fake. One Czech pornstar was apparemtly from Southend.

Of course there are other types of fake on here. The scammers, those lovely type that want you to phone them so they can clone your number. Then there are those that direct you to a website of interest unknown to you its a site rife with mailware. Others that ask you to contact them using apps that will give them access to your phone. And my fav those that cam ether directing you to pay for cams or capturing your "playing alone" image for extortion use as documented in some nation newspapers.

Avatar for him had very unique profile wording - and was understandably perturbed when a 'young upstart' put it on his own profile word for word!

I kind of see the point of fake/doctored pics - as I know a woman who has clearly done this and benefits from it (We are not friends as such and i've never pulled her up on it!) She is nowhere near as attractive as her face pics and is about a size 20 rather than the size 12 suggested on her body pics. She benefits as she gains meets with very attractive guys who would never normally meet her - who often go through with it to be polite. She also gets bombarded with messages which feed her ego - and her doctored pics often make page 1-2 of hotpics!

Although i'd never do it - as i'd be gutted if someone looked dissappointed when they met me - there are fairly compelling reasons to be fake/misleading on your profile!
