I'm looking to attend my first Club Social Event.

Any tips for a single male. Theres a few upcoming events but just curious as to how things are there and are couples or single fems looking to interact with us left out males.

I was never in the popular group at school

I've never been and funnily enough posted a similar question lol.

One of the things that kept coming up was that sometimes single males could follow ladies around, not understand (or accept) no interest, and be impolite. So start by avoiding those lol

Hello OP, you don't have to be in a popular group to attend a social, take a look at some of the events that are happening, pop your name down and go along, chat to people who are like minded and enjoy it!

go and enjoy it ,, make to effort to chat to people ,, etc ,, i go to chameleons ,, and quite often leave not even chatted to a single male ,, never mind had any fun often followed about by a few but if they cant be bothered to chat or be sociable , then im not interested in fun with them ,,

I'd say go without any expectations other than chatting and getting to know people. Have fun.

I've been thinking about going to a club and would rather go when I know single males will be there because going on a couples and ladies only night doesn't appeal to me but I'm rather nervous a bout it

I don't go local social events, but i do go to local clubs and clubs further afield. I am going to the fab social at the townhouse (Wirral) at the end of Feb. If you get there, I'd be happy to say hello.

I'm going to visit a few clubs this year, so if you'd like some company then let me know. Always nice to have someone to go with.

thats very kind of you debs.

how do we confirm our attendance to an event?

plus are location details, prices etc all stated?

can we interact with guests on fab before we attend to get comfortable and have the ice broken.

please advice

Events and clubs normally advertise on the forums clubs/events. All the details are on there. You just pop your name down on the forum thread and that's pretty much it.

Some events post a list of who's going so I guess you could contact people beforehand.

Hope that helps.

i was never popular at school and have been to one social meet on a different site, had lots of fun, people spoke to you - unlike school, you are all there because of one interest.

Go for it and enjoy yourself

the newcastle event is a social in a non-playing place in a non-playing atmosphere... so remember that the word social means Socialising and nothing else....

don't think that "social" is some sort of code word for orgy.. it is not!!!

its a chance to get to know people and then decide if you want to take it further at a later stage... so if you are not a person who can say hello to people, and just talk generally then it is not likely to be for you....

thanks for confirming _abio, had no idea.

luckily i can talk and interact without getting too hands on.

i guess it would be a good idea to have a hotel booked close by, should there be any chemistry with those who attend.

thanks again

Just go with no expectations other than to chat and have a good time. Sometimes single males are afraid to approach couples and single fems as they don't want to appear pushy. Just be yourself and chat like you would in vanilla life. Remember user names. No need to buddy up with other single guys. Their approach maybe different to yours, however people may see you as a team which could work against you.

Good luck
