Why dogging?

Not something I want to be involved in but, why is it called dogging, something to do with a pack ?

Its a secret!

It was dog walkers watching couples in cars in secluded areas. Then over the years its tended to become a bit more hands on for them. It also now tends to include car meets.

As mentioned at The Sunday Herald in 2003, the term dogging started in the early 1970s as a description of men who spied on couples having sex outdoors. These men would 'dog' the couples' and watch their every move

Oh i thought dogging was same as jogging except you take a dog with you.
