If you saw a profile which says meets are to be bareback would you actively block any members who were verified by the bareback swinger? I guess you could even go further and block the others that they've been involved with.

Sounds logical but does anyone do this?

Nope. I assume everyone barebacks and take necessary action to reduce my risks accordingly. I don't have the time or patience to follow verification trails. what about those they don't display?

Yea, i always play safe to avoid anything nasty such as HIV and HEP. I think it would be good to block people who actively bareback. I dont think that most swingers bareback here from my experiences anyway....

There's no need to block people who bareback. You should treat everyone as though they are a risk. If you use protection all the time then you'll minimise the risk.

We have meet Cpls in clubs and said hi to them but did nothing, they have veri'd us the following day stating we have meet at the club, doesn't say on there if we played or not,

I know of at least one Cpl that openly say on their profile that they prefer bearback that this has happened with.

So would you block us?

We always play safe with others, and its not our fault that we are now connected with these Cpls, and quite frankly its none of our business what they prefer

I've read many posts on bareback and never yet heard of a fellow fabber catching any sort of STI. Perhaps the whole thing is over-hyped but like most posts I'd still go with the safer sex route.

Or is it russian roulette folk play for the added thrill? I know people burn their hands taking food out of a hot oven and I tell myself to use oven gloves each time it happens to me.

I'm really not preaching on this as its surely a free country. Maybe Fab folk are wise enough to be bare with people who are also very wise in their choice of partners so STI's don't happen?

Seems a lot of people like to take risks and nobody is likely to admit to catching anything, and a lot of people have got HIV and don't even know they have it.

Its a matter of being as safe as you can be, with some people you get a feeling they havnt got anything because of who they are but I would still use condoms because it only takes one person. some people havnt cought anything yet because they have just been lucky, I was told by a nurse at the GUM clinic that women are more at risk of catching something than men are.

My biggest worry is HIV, I think some people are worried about it too that's why they get a bit defensive when its mentioned.

Whenever I have been to the GUM clinic the first thing they always said was always use condoms for penetrive sex also you should use them for oral sex.

although not quite as risky, if someone has been having a lot of unsafe sex its more risky to preform oral on them.

Most STI's (around 1/2 million cases) are caught thro oral sex - something that in excess of 95% of the population do! However the percentage of people believed to have HIV is 0.36% (2013 figures).

I quit fab the first time I joined as I'd used condoms for penetrative sex but not oral sex. I contracted Chlamydia.

A healthcare professional quoted an estimate that one in seven under 25's locally are expected to have it. It's scary.

Naive and never done any swinging comes to mind!

I haven't had a huge number of lovers as I've been in relationships for most of the time, but in ten years of swinging, I have only known one woman who was categorical about using condoms. Just one!

We have a simple rule wear a condom or no play. Been to parties where everybody has gone bareback and then we just played on our own. Does that make us boring and killjoys probably but better safe than sorry.
