type 1 diabetics

Hi I have been a type 1 diabetic for 14 years (insulin dependant) just wondered how any other type 1's get on with this condition whilst swinging...one thing people dont always understand is my need to eat when they can go all day without food!

Has anyone seen eating habits as a problem while swinging?

Is it one of those 'please look at my profile' type posts??

No its a genuine question about a condition I have so if you are not interested why dont you jog on and trust me I dont need to beg people to look at me!!

I have type 2 and also have to eat frequently, especially when playing. Most people understand that I need regular breaks for food, and the club I meet at do a mean toastie! The only problem usually is trying to look sexy while stuffing my face.....

Actually this is very relevant. I am Type 1 and if I inject after food and then have sex my sugar levels drop quickly. Also if I am at a swinging club and drinking alcohol, I make sure my sugar levels are elevated as alcohol usually decreases my levels.

What insulin are you on im on rapid in the day and insulatard at night?

Novarapid in the day and Levimir at night.

I also get viagra to aid the pleasure as if my sugar levels play up so does my erection normally if the sugar levels in my blood are too high. I dont always need it but it does help!

I was diagnosed 2nd week in December, just on metformin at the moment. Christmas was bloody hard all that chocolate in the house, managed to stay off it though

Type 2 is hard i prefer injections 4 x day
