Anybody else not like to wear make up?

If you met someone and they weren't wearing make up would you think they hadn't made an effort or what other thoughts would you have? How about on a night out, would you have a different opinion?

Definitely I'd rather meet someone with little makeup or not at all than a girl with so much makeup that she looks like a stereotype !

I'm not against make up just i feel weird wearing it so don't bother. Was just wondering if people felt it meant the other person hadn't made an effort (especially on a night out somewhere).

None of the guys i have met said anything either so figured it probably didn't matter, nice to see some people confirm that, thanks. Don't mind seeing conflicting views as well if anyone has any.

I more often than not go without.

I dye my lashes and Purely as I get so many comments about my eyes when I do wear mascara & eyeliner I'm thinking of having permanent eyeliner done

Special occasions maybe a bit of eye shadow.

I don't wear make up to work, a little at weekends in the daytime if im going shopping.

However I would always year make up if going out in the evening. I like to paint my face, wear fake lashes, draw beauty spots on, I even stick diamantes on my face at times. I neither ask or care what other people think

Sorry guys, I am a girly girl and would never go without my make up!

I wear it everyday unless I am having a quiet pj day, but would never meet without the full shebang, just the way I am.

On a first meet I usually wear makeup. It doesn't usually stay on for long. If I meet again I don't usually put much on,it's a waste of time and makeup. I don't wear makeup at all unless I'm going out or meeting someone

Apologies - I didn't give a clear statement...I meant that for some people they cake it on, and spend hours putting on their make up as part of a military regime, when it makes them stand out more for the wrong reasons. Some people use more than they need to show their natural beauty etc I mean.

I was more wanting opinions on whether people would think it was lazy of me to not wear it.

Do like that someone said it gives off confidence, although i don't feel more confident i just don't like how i look in make up.

Good make up is an art..subtle and for the most part unnoticed apart from perhaps from eyeliner and maybe a pair of kissable red lips

During the day very rarely wear make up. Don't feel the need to. Night time I tend to trowel it on. Not because I have confidence issues but more because I like the way it looks and enjoy being transferred into something else.

For obvious reasons make up is essential for Katie, love doing eyes and blusher and lipstick is a must however I do find mascara to be a pain as I can never do it without smudging and its a pain getting it all off when katie has finished playing. False eyelashes are fun but take some getting used to as all you real women will know if you have worn them. I will include nails in the make up piece as to katie it's all part of the transformation ad guys love a hand with red nails around their erections and also they love it when youndig the nails in their skin although I have lost a couple through the glue not been strong enough

It all comes down to personal choice at the end of the day. I don't expect people to do anything - I don't actually care whether someone chooses to wear make-up or not, or whether an item of clothing they've chosen to wear flatters them. Its all about self- expression. Not confidence.

I don't wear makeup for work. If I am meeting just eyeliner and mascara. One meet I never bothered with makeup the whole time he was there, nor styled my hair after showers. Not because I couldn't be bothered but just comfortable in being without. Personally when I used to wear makeup I felt it was a mask not the real me.

I rarely wear foundation or powder as I don't like the feel of it on my skin. But I won't leave the house without eye make up and lipgloss. I wear make up because I think I look better with it on and it gives me more confidence.

Some people don't need make up. Some have skin conditions and need to wear make up.

It's one of those things isn't it. Nobody is right or wrong. Make up is a choice for most of us.....nothing wrong with choosing to use it and nothing wrong with choosing not to. It probably doesn't mean very much about a person whichever choice they make.

I don't have time most mornings to spend ages doing my hair and make up so i only ever wear the bare minimum for work. I couldn't go out with no make up. I look awful without. Not lazy though just bad at managing my time. Don't really understand why the op is bothered that people will think she is lazy or doesn't care about her appearance. I don't give a stuff what others think. I have other priorities in my life and looking my best at all times isn't one of them.

I wear loads every day, but I like to. I do look better with it than without, but it's also part of my routine, I find it relaxing.

I'd never think someone who wasn't wearing any was lazy though. Only way I'd think it was odd is if I knew they usually did.

But in answer to your question op I don't think its a issue you not wearing makeup, obviously if teamed with scruffy hair and clothes we would assume no effort had been made but it would be the whole package not just a bit of make up

For a night out I just wear the same but with a lipstick.

For meets in the past I've only ever worn my every day make up and never had a comment/complaint.

I've had to turn a few people down for meets on the grounds it takes 90 minutes to glam up and it's not worth it for a 15 minute fumble. A couple then told me to meet them without make up on. I felt that they were missing the point

It's part of a night out for me, I enjoy getting ready, choosing the right make up and hair style for the occasion. It's not heavy as I tend to enhance either eyes or lips.

I've met during the day before with minimal or no make up, not a problem for me to do so.

I don't wear make-up day-to day as I think it's important to let the skin 'breathe' - but for a meet or an evening out i'l always wear natural looking make-up - just as i'll generally wear my hair down and always wear matching lingerie and hold-up's if i'm wearing a dress! I guess it gives me confidence! Xx

I wear powder and mascara. Luckily my skin is usually alright. If it's a very special occasion, I'll wear eye liner and blusher but they're risky and easily go wrong for me.

cant remember the last time ive ever used foundation/concealer etc, generally ive good skin.

day to day i'll just wear mascara as my lashes are blonde and some chap stick that has a pale pink colour too it to keep my lips hydrated.

i can go all out nd do the whole shebang but i feel like if i dance or get remotely hot then its gonna melt down my face and frankly id rather have a great time then worry about that

xmas day this year it was just eyeliner (blue) and mascara.

I only wear make up on a night out, and even then it's very minimal. I don't know how to apply some of it properly...in fact I had a mini make over for the works do last weekend and that was the first time I'd ever worn blusher in my life! I don't wear it day to day, which my work colleague who sits across from me every day seemed shocked at when I mentioned it to him...not sure why as who'd wear make up to look this fooked!

Trying to think of meets I've actually worn it for, and think there was only one fb where he'd specifically asked for heavy mascara. I've never had any complaints/comments on not wearing it, and to be honest if anyone did take issue with it then we'd prob not be suited as that's not who I am

Depends upon the causation and frequency of that want

If they wanted to wear full slap all the time morning to night , then they would not be my preference

I would consider it an habitual mask, rather than a punctuation of beauty

There is lots of psychological data , and even more cosmetic industry promotion , for me to reasonably ask , why do certain women want to wear the full kit 18 hours a day.

Cos it does and that's what counts
