To us it's still Christmas. I feel really sorry for the retail staff who had to get up really early to start selling half price stuff at 6am in Next

Brighton

This is the first xmas I've spend in close location to a UK town in over a decade (long story) and i'm AMAZED at how open everything is. Even Eat and Pret (I guess sales buyers get hungry...).

Indeed, without trying to sound like an old fart, when I were a'lad, christmas started on the 24th and you couldn't go out anywhere 'till the 2nd! Seriously!

Just where I need to be.

Worked all day yesterday. So today it will be our Christmas Day. We have started on the dizzy water and all food prepped and ready. Now getting into the festive spirit.

Christmas is always a two day event in our family. I wouldn't dream of going shopping today, I'm not that desperate to get anything in the sales

One of us works in retail and had to work until 10pm Christmas Eve. Have the day off today (although many of those I work with haven't) we certainly are not spending it shopping. Far better things to do today ie nothing at all.
