After a number of years in monogomous and swinging relationships all have for one reason or another just never seemed to work. The last few months I've been finding myself gravitating more towards seeking a polyamorys lifestyle.

I'll be honest and say I've never experienced this but it's something that I may like to explore in the future.

I've not heard the term relationship anarchist before but it's very interesting.

We didn't set out with the intention of being polyamorous; it was something that flowed naturally when we met an amazing group of people who now form our poly group and we also have never been happier. It works very well for us.

Yes I'm quite intrigued, both couples are very very cool and relaxed, both a professional and intelligent so have been quite impressed, I realise there's other dynamics at play and have enjoyed finding those out. So I'd say go for it, everything is open to negotiation so why not share on a wider level. A real threesome, not just at the bedroom door

I just want to point out that polyamory isn't just about trio's or threesmomes.

I have several romantic partners who I see on different levels and none of them are involved with any of my other partners. They're mostly all friends though, which is wonderful. In fact my sub and my nesting partner have been friends for twenty years - and I've only been dating my sub for three years and my nesting partner for four months!

It really is great, being able to emotionally invest in many other people. And relationship anarchy brings the attitude as well that your 'partner' doesn't have to be the most important person in your life. Everyone just has their role to play. It's very holistic.

My wife and I have been in a polyamorous relationship for the past ten years with Michael. Neither of them are on fab, though have occasionally joined in with my meets. It works for us and is like any other relationship. They require honesty, work and nourishment so that empathy, trust and love builds.

It states we are looking for Cpls, Bi or not Bi, It also states that should any Bi Girls catch Florence's eye they may get an invite.

But it does not state anywhere that we are actively looking for Bi ladies

That's one thing we've found interesting since our introduction to the kink world.

Most of our friend circle these days swing or take part some level or 'anarchistic' sex life. Polyamory and the desire to explore it though seems more prevalent to those who have been into the social side of the BDSM scene.

Not in all cases of course, but I think that the BDSM social scene is generally more accepting as a culture than the swinging scene for alternative and multiple relationships.

Wasp Hunter, i'd be interested in your opinion on that theory too if you have one? x

Relationships are relationships no matter which scene you are in, or playing with. If anything due to the type of play BDSM has, introducing polyamory into this kind of relationship would be pretty difficult. The levels of trust would have to be very high between those the D/S in the relationship to introduce another D or S or 'whatever'.

Things didn't work out with my boyfriend though eventually and he moved out.

That's true and in my situation there is huge amounts of trust which have had far reaching impact.

I am always clear and honest over my situation and I am what I am.

I have had boyfriends in the long run not be able to handle me having others apart from my life partner in my life.

I am currently in a new d/s relationship that is really going very well. Its hard to know what path my journey will take but I'm here for the ride rather than a destination.

I feel incredibly grateful to be at one with my sexuality and to be living the lifestyle that feels true to me.

Most of my poly friends are not into kink particularly.

Most of my kink friends are monogamous.

What I do find surprising is that the vast majority of swingers have never heard of polyamory before and the concept is quite alien to them. I do wonder that if more swingers knew about polyamory, then they might identify more as poly rather than swingers? Or perhaps that's just the kind of people my profile attract.

My husband and I have been involved in polyamoros relationships before. . usually another male. . it can be an exhilarating experience if allowed to develop naturally and can help . . especially when there are the odd differences in the primary relationship . . such as cinema dating lol xx it has to be built on trust and honesty to work.

I have attended poly workshops and met some people involved in a variety of different arrangements. However, while attracted to the idea, I have never had the opportunity to be in such a relationship. My wife and I are both open to the possibilities if we meet the right woman/man/couple. Even so, it is unlikely we would enter a relationship unless we were both involved with the other party/parties as part of the attraction for us is the sharing aspect.

Not sure if a full polyamory lifestyle would suit us to be honest.

But we would love to find a couple or even some single guys to enjoy regular fun with. Become friends as well as sex partners.

Strangely we have found building that kind of relationship really difficult. People seem to want new partners, new thrill every time!
