Many of the women on here are delightable and have been a pleasure to talk to.

I ended up skyping with one anonymous lady who said she's now pregnant but wants to meet up, i politely asked "Not in a relationship then?"

Her response saying "we were fwbs but he flipped out and said to get an abortion, said he didn't need to be involved"

Complete turn off, left call and went!

Is this anyone else's worst fear? having a one night stand or fwbs and that happens? or just me :/

Obviously i'd play safe, but even so!

It can happen anywhere though can't it ? Not just on Fab. Like you say, you'd use condoms anyway , but they're not 100% safe as contraception. In fact no contraceptive is. I always think you should be responsible for your own contraception - especially females as we have the consequence if we don't. She sounds like she's happy with her decision to keep the baby so good for her. Everything for a reason.

I've had a surgical sterilisation and you still have a chance of getting pregnant.

The only way it won't happen is if you've had your ovaries or uterus removed. Or if a man has no testicles.

Seriously though, you sound very naive. For the vast majority of people having sex even with protection carries a risk of pregnancy. Most adults will understand that and accept that risk. Had you not contemplated such a possibility before?!

Pregnancy is always a risk....a small risk that you can do many things to minimise, but there's always a slight chance.

As others have said.. There is always a chance. Its one of the risks of this hobby of ours. Its a risk vs reward calculation like many others everyone takes daily.

Tbh you're probably not alone thinking this but now you can see that pregnancy is always a risk, no matter how slight.

Make sure you do the right thing and have protected sex & hopefully your partner will have thought contraception options through too.

I had a vasectomy 7-8 years ago, but still play safe because of the risk of STIs.

As well as the pregnancy risk, the health of you and the people you play with is too important to risk anything.

Its her life and body and if she wish to keep she should and if not there are people out there who would give it a good home who cant have babies she really should think how it will change her life too.. And tell the truth if the man is running now he is not worth having around .. I hope she sorts her life out and there is help out there if she looks.. x

I hate to be the one to warn/scare you... But even the kitemark on the side of a packet of condoms mean they're 98% effective in protecting you

Like others have said the only 100% protection is no sex... And I don't see you going down that route

I was reading in a magazine how some woman come on sites like this to find a man for unsafe sex as need the seed for babies as some had no luck at home. And its free sex and they don't even tell the men after . And never wished the man involved at all . Maybe selfish to some but maybe some will do whatever it takes If had no luck at home.

IMO I'd say yes that's why they are FWB's and not in a relationship which is a completely different scenario.

I'm extremely prolife. I couldn't abort a baby. but I have implant to significantly reduce the risk of finding myself in that situation.

It's not just one night stands, I'm sure there's a lot of guys who decide they don't want to be fathers or really weren't that interested in a relationship in the first place. I bet there are women too who decide that they don't want the guy to be a father for one reason or another.
