Responded to a wink from a couple who stated on their profile that 'if they wink you then it is only polite to get a response'. As we were not interested in meeting them we sent a short 'thanks but not for us' message.

Did we get a 'no probs' or 'thanks and happy swinging'?

No our message was deleted and we were blocked!

So much for being polite

But you weren't interested in them. Where would the messages end if you kept acknowledging each others messages. They showed their interest, you said thanks but no thanks, they blocked to stop them from messaging you in future.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't!

I ask people I'm not interested in to block me, and will block them too so we don't end up seeing each other on searches.

in fairness to the OP..I HATE people blocking, unless its for reasons like:-

arsehole(s)

family

workmate

otherwise I'd not be bothered by them viewing me, or me viewing them.

I see the site as part of a scene...especially one where people actually meet...but not JUST FOR SEX.

I attended a social last nite..not everyone is my cuppa, nor I theirs...but we all appear to get on and have a good nite..regardless of sexual attraction.

this IS what swinging is...

thankfully blocking is a reversible feature I suppose..as I've met people after years of being blocked..and it turns out we get on..in person!-maybe not sexually but sometimes lol

if the sites profiles are only good to you as a measure of who you are attracted to thats fair enough..I just dont see much a need for blocking if you attend bigger events etc...

if we all blocked eachother and somehow got to the same social/club/party do we need to face palm everyone attending?..or act like grown ups and state we wouldnt have sex with them..

That's fine as you wont meet them, not sure whats your problem is as you wasn't interested in them. I block and delete too if someone sais not interested lol

I don't think they meant to be rude. As you are not interested they blocked you so you will not show up in future searches.

What's wrong with them blocking if your not interested it saves them from mistaking messaging you again

I get blocked by just viewing their profile (no message, no wink).

But it's fine and as many have said before, it helps to narrow down your searches.

we use the block button a lot... just saves 5 more uncomfortable message trying to politely say we really don't fancy you!

we don't get offended if blocked either as we figure its exactly the same both ways!!

as for rudeness... swingers come from all walks of life! nice, rude, filthy and sometimes even prude!!

we say live and let, move on and focus on that sexy pair who just caught your eye!!

Yes we also have similar usually ho then friends request which we agree then within minutes blocked ha ha my theory is in this case they put face pics in friends only folder expect everyone else to do the same which we dont then panic because you can see their face pic !!!! Odd people
