So you' been trying your goddamn best to get with this sexy girl for a while. She keeps giving you the slip and in fact is not interested. After a while you give up. Then out of the blue she makes contact after at least a year!

You discover that something terrible has happened to her. Through sickness or accident, she'd lost the use of both legs. She'd had a burn to most of her face and in fact looks nothing like the hot girl you once fancied.

Needless to say, you are no longer interested. Is it ok to go straight to the point, or do you have to dilly dally a bit till she gets the message?

How's about you just be the friend that she'll be needing round about now and stop being so shallow, what makes you think she wants to shag you, just because her appearance has changed doesn't mean her taste in men has gone down hill does it.

I can't imagine they are very close friends as he stated that 'out of the blue, after a year' she makes contact with him.

She knew he was interested in him but as she didn't feel the same she did not reciprocate. There is nothing wrong with that at all. Both parties must feel 'it' for something to happen...

But. is she not now trying to exploit old feelings he had for her?

Maybe she is shallow too? After her accident she realises now that she can't trade on her looks and is looking for something more genuine? A deeper connection??

Granted, I don't think the OP can provide that as he comes across as shallow too but I don't think it was right of the unfortunate lady to suddenly reappear into his life too and try to exploit old sentiments now she has suffered and lost herself???

Are you no longer interested because in the time lapse you have moved on, or are you no longer interested because she no longer looks the way she did? Both reflect you in a very different light, but I do think she deserves the honesty of you letting her know she's no longer for you...just hopefully with more tact than this post
