"shouldn't really matter what you do for a living, a horny guy is a horny guy"

Valid point!

That said, I did meet a young man (32) for fun purely because he had been in the forces, he'd been injured in Iraq. As I said at the time...if he's old enough to go looking for WMDs, he can handle my Exocets!

I don't mind them at all.....

what I do find is that certain people like to play up what they do job wise (people in the army do it, people in the navy do it, fireman do it) because they think it gives them some sort of advantage.....

why should it matter if someone is in the forces or is a teacher or is a binman....

The armed forces have always been and always will be respected and admired by 95% of the British population all over the world and respected by many others.

The armed forces on here, your just the same as any other guys, being a fireman a soldier a sailor an airman won't make it any worse for you, some will even be attracted to that fact.

Some will be put off though if anyone thinks that thier proffession alone will get them laid every week.

A one line profile saying "soldier about to go to Afghanistan will only work on a limited few, most will see it as a one line profile.

"Randy Fireman" means you have respect, so do Nurses and anyone else doing a difficult job for average money, personality, respect, well written e-mails, reasonable pictures, an informative profile will get you further.

Occasionally we can indulge ourselves in swinging and be shallow, but most people meet out of mutual respect and attraction not what we do for a living.

Enjoy what you do and be carefull but don't think it's a "free ticket" and you will do even better than relying soley on what you do (not saying you would just generalizing)

It all depends what the guy is like. There are some servicemen who are users and are very indiscreet. Others are polite and well mannered. Its not about what uniform you wear its more about what sort of person you are and if you look good naked.

It depends a lot on the person. We met one army lad (24) who was bragging that 'after he had seen to Suz, he was meeting his mates down the pub'!

Well When he had 'run out of steam', I saw to Suz and the poor lad could hardly stand! lol

He didn't make it to the pub lol.

Others (must admit older) have been the perfect gentlemen.

I don't give two hoots what people do for a living - respect any one with a dangerous job or in a caring profession but wouldn't shag any one on the basis of their job! Met a guy once who was not compatible with us, he could tell we weren't interested so said - I'm a pilot you know! Like we were going to be sooooooo impressed we'd invite him back! LOL - no!

Some are not so bright either. I was contacted by a man 'back from Iraq'. On his profile, he had a blown up pic of his identity badge. I asked him to delete it as it was a security risk to him and to us all, as it was available for copy etc. He did delete it thankfully

As an ex Army guy and now in another Uniformed Service it makes no odds.We dont mention it on our profile and it does not impress us. BUUUT WE DO 100% support our boys and girls! Both activly support H4H!

Some do try to use it as an advantage, but to some people it is an attraction.

The industry I work in has many an ex serviceman, and would say that many of them use the moto "any hole is a goal" when it comes to meeting ladies. Having been starved of sex for so long while on operational duty they say they will shag anything. From what they say to me that sticks with them for a good while, even once out the services.

Just my opinion from what has been told to me.

I totally admire the guys and girls in our forces and absolutely respect the work they do. But...

I have seen a few folks on Chat here from the Army and Navy (they say) and to be honest they have been full of testosterone-filled boasting manliness. Sometimes with each other.

The other strange thing I have found when talking to someone from the forces is I have never yet met anyone who hasn't claimed to serve with either the SAS, The Parachute Regiment or The Royal Marines.

It's uncanny particularly with the SAS how for such a small regiment so many people claim they have served in them. Probably dreamers I guess.

Anyway hats off to the genuine guys and gals who serve us so well.

That all depends on what service they are in, and what their standing is within the service.

A lot of forces members in specialist areas, or who use classified equipment, need to be positively vetted. Any chance of something compromising what "the system" deems to be a clean lifestyle leaking out, could cost them their jobs as they would be seen as a security risk (threat of blackmail and all that)

That's the ironic part, the cooks and the bottle washers in the forces can boast about it with impunity, and the guys who do the "sexiest" jobs are the ones who will keep the quietest about it all...

What about the one a week or so ago saying "hi all basically im reurning from afghan and have a night stop over in a heathrow airport hotel on the 25th of aug, looking for some fun with nice peeps,"

Of course they try to play the sympathy card! They are still single guys after all. They have the same needs as any other single guy on a site like this!

What is it about the services that means they are all great and and can't be after a sympathy shag? Be interesting to see if Jane sticks up for any other guys when someone says they are playing the sympathy card!

I tend to shy away from forces personnel after a bad experience on another site for this reason, Got a couple of saucy messages from a serving guy exchanged a few pictures made plans for when he was next on leave to meet up and have some fun got to remember i was stiil quite new to meeting people at the time sent him face pics and waited.

Only to find out that he was showing almost everyone his unit what i wanted to do to him etc and all the pics i had sent also let the others guys watch me on cam playing aswell only to find out at a family party one of them watching me and seeing my pics was his WO2 at the time my brother in law ! He got d*unk at the party and tried blackmailing me to suck him off or he would tell my husband and everyone else at the party what i was getting up to behind hubbys back.

Now hubby already knew but couldnt lose face so we ended up having what seemed to everyone else a blazing argument outside and hubby told the brothers wife what he had tried on with me so they ended up having a proper argument.

I respect the men and women of the forces that do a difficult job but that 1 guy has put me off meeting anyone else connected with the forces xxx Lois xxx

personally i think the guys on here who post up pics of themselves in thier uniform, or have a username which quotes the forces, or both are fucking idiots!

It is a job to be proud of, a job that is serving the country, NOT a job that serves to get you a shag!

then again, id expect only half of them, or less are actually IN the armed forces...

I'm not even sure I want to post this but here it goes. I'm in the military and have been for the past 17 years. Remember military members...come from society, and just like in the civilian world we get bad and good apples. Some guys do play the I'm deploying card (I have when I was younger) some don't. When we are deployed there isn't a lot of women where we are at so basically it's slim pickings, so as guys we get this desperate need to shag a lot before we go, not making an excuse just saying what I know. P.S. I'm in the military wanna shag me

Reply privatelyReply in forumReply +quote

I agree with the poster above. As in every walk of life there will be be those who give certain sections of society a bad name, the forces included.

However for every one who gives some a bad name, I'm sure there will be 100's if not 1000's who don't.

I have to be totally honest, I don't like to see profiles where a manner of the armed forces is shown in all kinds of action poses, in uniform etc etc, but that's just my opinion, the chances are that some of these are not even members of forces - it's easy to buy an ex forces uniform.

Respect is due to all members of HM Forces - good or bad

To be honest, and at the risk of repeating the sentiments of other posters, we don't really care what our playmates do. We're meeting for sex and fun, and have little regard for what they do to pay their mortgage or rent. Our meet-mates include a farmer, a social worker, a charity manager, salesman, bedroom/kitchen fitter, nurse, students, a housewife ....and several who we never found out what they did or do.

well i respect , the men of the armed forces, , but they should not expect every lady to fail at their feet just because they show a pic of them in uniform.

im sure theres a security issue there too...blackmail ?

what if a policeman wa on here , im sure a lot of people would not meet them just because of their job..it the person , not the uniform , that attracts people

The majority of people would respect them in terms of their job and service.

Some people my have a fetish about uniforms and it you can 'take advantage' of that then fair enough.

However anyone trading on their status as being in the army for some sort of sympathy / patriotic fuck angle can GTF.

5 years ago this was never a thing that we saw in swinging but now its increasingly like 'Big Black Cock'.. the message comes in 'Hey I'm black / off to iraq (delete as appropriate).. wanna fuck?'

What an embarrassment to their respective communities each is.

Surely taking advantage that they are in the armed forces and as fit as fuck and knows how to speak and treat a lady with respect is one of the very few perks of the job. Guys in the armed forces have been trading on this for years lol its not a new thing. And its easier for the guys to meet girls online then get a load of hassle when they go out in town.

"The majority of people would respect them in terms of their job and service.

Lol - just seen this post, I've always wondered "Does my being black entitle me to a fuck?" to which I answer "No!".

Its surprising when I chat to a couple of people who've received the email "I see you met Ahabs - I'm black too, will you meet me?".

Likewise I've seen some couples use the approach "You're a couple, we're a couple too - we should play!" with some friends of mine - shocking!

So much for personality, chemistry, and who you are as a person.

agreed on all points. Its just a numbers game for these people. When we lived in Italy we worked tourist bars (student days).. every night the 'typical' italian young males would troop in, order 1 drink and then target every table with only women knowing they would be tourists. They would take 20 'fuck offs' just to get to the one lot who 'really' wanted an 'Italian stallion' when on their holidays.

Every night it worked. Provided you had a thick enough skin to handle the rejections first. And we're too fussy that it was the fat yank you ended up with.

There's a lesson there.

"Serve with is ambiguous, serve in is more direct

There can be a lot of postings on special duties where you are working with the Hereford boys

"

I doubt their alleged exploits in Libya over the last few days will attract much in the way of bragging rights in years to come

some do some don't....it depends if you want to shag a uniform or the person that's in it.

it's not a guaranteed selling point though!

Crikey, talk about reviving an old thread

I've only ever seen males using this tactic. I wonder why that is...?!?

I don't work in the forces, so can't test it out personally. Does anybody think it will work for "keyboard warriors"?

What I want to know, if I had a twin and we were as identical as you can get (maybe even in mannerism and humour) but he was in the forces while I held down a desk job, should he get more offers than me?

Would that not suggest "being yourself" doesn't work as its not about the person? And should I now pose as him nicking his uniform in order to increase my chances?

Nah - if people won't accept me for me, they certainly won't want me once the uniform comes off I say.

it for us is something that means its a thanks but no thanks..

For very personal reasons.. but mostly because of family ties to the armed forces, and things you hear from people within the forces.

Its kinda a case of we know very well what they can get up to

This poem by Seigfried Sassoon says it all

'They' ........................

The Bishop tells us: 'When the boys come back

'They will not be the same; for they'll have fought

'In a just cause: they lead the last attack

'On Anti-Christ; their comrades' blood has bought

'New right to breed an honourable race,

'They have challenged Death and dared him face to face.'

'We're none of us the same!' the boys reply.

'For George lost both his legs; and Bill's stone blind;

'Poor Jim's shot through the lungs and like to die;

'And Bert's gone syphilitic: you'll not find

'A chap who's served that hasn't found some change.

' And the Bishop said: 'The ways of God are strange!'

I think you misread or didn't understand the OP's post.

Uniforms of whatever Army/Company/Employer can be a turn on for a multitude of people.

Remember this site is not just dedicated to the opinions based on demographics.

I admire any fellow OP that stands up and protects their Country albeit UK/Ireland/USA..... etc

BTW - Tesco's/Asda sell combats!!!!

On the matter of misunderstanding. The OP doesn't mention uniforms at all.
